  1. f my gauges were inop or fail soon , I know what is happening next .
  2. I met Hubert a few years ago at a buddy's shop. Hubert was there having a friend ( James Mariner ) repair the sidecar to frame mounting . Hubert entertained us with his "life's story". He was remarkable and very intelligent . He knew you had to leave yourself to find yourself . He was the type of person you only needed to meet once to be bonded with for life. I hope we can all say that about each other .
  3. Sideways?????
  4. I watched it MANY times and it is still just as exciting as the first time. Maybe I should amend # 2 stay in your lane
  5. # 1 there is only one Valentino Rossi ( and it ain't me ) . # 2 ride on the inside of your lane # 3 you never know what is past your vision # 4 as emry suggested . track day course , reading and a lot of offensive/defensive riding . after you finish ask yourself " what did I do right , what did I do wrong" ? # 5 I don't know what the rider did wrong but he didn't come out too well # 6 countersteer is only part of a technique in turns # 7 this rider freaked and did everything he shouldn't . You have to be aware and ready to react. # 8 the road at the end of my road is a favorite of everyone to ride fast . I don't ride like this because I know Farmer Turnipseed or anyone else can be pulling out of a side road or loose rocks ,seeds, or anything can be in the curves . # 9 this was one Helluva learning experience for the rider . We all can learn from this
  6. OUCH!!!!!!!
  7. Yep . Some of the most righteous , over the top riding I've seen .
  8. Chris Stapleton . WOW . I bought the Traveller cd and can't stop listening to it. and I don't care that much for country music.
  9. Terrific piece . Deanna & I love Billy Joel . "You May Be Right " is my fav. Well , on second thought " Piano Man " ....No wait.....
  10. Philosophical
  11. OCV or Open Circuit Voltage ( that I am aware of ) is voltage at a power source with no load i.e. no wiring attached . A long way around to say the battery disconnected .
  12. LowRyter , you say you have a hose connected to the regulator....do you mean fuel pressure regulator ? The nipple @ the fuel pressure regulator is vented to the atmosphere & should be open .
  13. I can see rewiring this circuit to a 14 ga. to make a person happy .It will not hurt anything to do this upgrade .Just make it look good when you're finished . As far as the new Griso going through the ign. switch . We have a farm tractor ( Ford 5000 ) that has traditionally eaten the neutral safety switch and was wired this way .All the current to operate the starter solenoid was going the switch / neutral switch , etc . I finally wised up and installed a relay @ the starter solenoid. Problem solved .
  14. # 1 Get the best test light you can get. # 2 Disconnect the spade connector from the starter , ground the lead of the test light to a good ground . Touch the probe of the test light to the spade terminal of the start wire and try to start the bike . If it lights the start switch circuit is good. * Reconnect & retry . Probe the solenoid terminal where the terminal / wire goes into the starting motor . Try to start again . If this results in a test light ON , the starting motor is bad & needs replacement . # 3 * if the test light did not light up , the problem needs to be addressed in the start circuit .
  15. I'm lazy , how much & when do you have another batch ready ?
  16. It isn't going to change anything but , how did these cases get busted up ?
  17. That is an extraordinary m/cycle . You are going to find a hard X finding those kind of parts. How much danage is done to the covers ? I would Google to see if anyone repairs aluminum or magnesium parts like these .
