I assume Grimeca is the OEM supplier to Guzzi for the V11 ? Has anyone contacted Grimeca for replacement or NOS parts for the slave cylinder ?

The view from from Carbondale , Il to Hopkinsville , Ky is alleged to be perfect viewing for this . My hometown ( Barlow ) is to be the first town in Ky to see this event . A lot of businesses in the tri-state area are closing for this experience and a LOT of visitors are expected .Ozzy ( the Ozzy ) is going to be @ Walker's Bluff Winery , Carterville , east of Carbondale . When you are done , you will want rod "b" to be loose and I mean a little loose in it's at rest position .

I hate to tell ya , the only thing that is compatible with brake rubber is brake fluid , DOT 5 silicone brake fluid , brake assembly fluid , water , isopropyl alcohol and a few other things I don't know about . Petroleum products are off the list . I am not a good influence , put it together and see what happens. Use some brake assembly fluid from a auto parts store when you reassemble .

Docc , take a look at what this seal is compatible with . It lists mineral oil and a lot of others sans brake fluid . You will HAVE to use DOT 5 silicone fluid if you do . How bad is the original seal ?

Don't be surprised if it is the shift lever pivot bolt . Loosen the jam nut and back the pivot bolt out two turns and see if you can move the shifter. if so , remove the jam nut then the bolt . Lubricate everything and reassemble .

If you want to , you can use Scotch-Brite to smooth up the surface . p.s. use the most fine pad you can get . Clean up w/Brake-Kleen , reassemble with brake assembly fluid and you will be good.

When you check / adjust the air gap of this sensor you will want to be sure the one tooth you will be getting clearance verify it is in the center of the sensor bore.

Replace the filter . After you get the old one off , use a hacksaw not any type of powered tool to cut the filter apart to see how bad it looks .

It is a good idea to purchase O.E.M. seals for important applications. e.g. Do you want to do this twice ?

Figure out how to test the T.P.S. and test it cold and hot .

Fuel ( gasoline in this case ) is different everywhere .

One more thing Agonza . Print a wiring diagram for your bike. In color if possible . Enlarge and learn it until you can draw trace every circuit and understand it w/o hesitation .

You don't own the V11 because it does anything better. It doesn't . You own it because it defines you.

You can bypass anything you want . Just don't forget it. I bypassed the N start switch on our farm tractor because the switch kept failing ( I had to remove the transmission shift cover to replace it ) until one day I started it from beside the tractor . I ran the boom pole 12'' into the side of the shop and moved one wall 6'' off it's foundation before I got the engine shut off. I have since repaired this problem by wiring a relay into this circuit removing all the current through the N start switch .

Before you go on another ride , it will be best to check every connection and " tighten" them . Learn how to remove and tighten the terminals in the relay / fuse panels , every safety switch .....well, if it is a wire check both ends . You will become a wiring/ electronics specialist . Also , can you explain the clutch slippage portion ?

You can use these tools on any seal ( over 30mm) you want they look neat , as in I haven't purchased them yet.

Yhis one pic we are looking at is way off on everything. My lever that is on the shift shaft ( if I remember ) is pointing at about 1 o'clock position . and the rod attatches directly to it. This mess that is on Mike's is going to break EVERY time .

It is worth a try ...or for future endeavors Motion Pro sells a front fork seal cleaner . Google it . Motion Pro sells very neat tools.
