  1. If the engine is warm you will get the most accurate clearance .
  2. If I am going to use crimp connectors where they are going to be outside , I use Motorcraft electrical connector grease and where open plug connectors are .
  3. p.s. if it is used in marine / aircraft applications it is good.
  4. Did you stop to help the motorist in trouble ? No good deed goes unpunished .
  5. Are you being just a little cruel ?
  6. Dumping at less than 5 mph is the ultimate humiliation. We have all been there. Get back on and get well !
  7. I watched ( on TV ) a BMW Isetta go for over $40k on Barrett-Jackson a few years ago. That was the pi$$in' contest of all pi$$in' contests .
  8. If you are satisfied with what you paid for , you got a good deal .
  9. The brake pad must be "soft" enough to be consumed instead of the rotor . The "harder" the pad the more the rotor is going to be consumed. A person has to decide what they want to have or sacrifice .
  10. Inspect EVERYTHING and leave nothing to question .
  11. Schaeffer's is a superior product .
  12. He changed the rear wheel ? Do you mean he installed a different wheel ?
  13. I ''think" only stock size bearings are available from the factory. Anyone want to chime in ?
  14. Yes.
  15. Measure the o.d. of the filter and get one . The filter seal is probably around o-ring instead of a square o-ring . This is notorious for coming loose . I know how to tighten oil filters , I have installed as many as anyone on this site . Mine has a hose clamp SECURING it and my knowledge it is not coming loose.
  16. Well , you can tell us the year , color , etc....
  17. As Harry Nillson said "Now lemme get this straight.." You can get the transmission into neutral , you can get the transmission into 1st gear and move forward in 1st , you can get the transmission then to shift into 2nd gear and move forward in 2nd gear. Then you cannot get the transmission into 3rd gear. Is this correct ?
  18. No kiddin' ? You can catch a tool truck and get one or a machine shop tool vendor if you want a permanent one. If there are any European or British bike shops around you , you might be able to borrow the stuff over the weekend or they will help you do this.
  19. I think you are looking at doing something that is not necessary unless it is running terrible , will not start or is backfiring upon start-up. This is a check of the camshaft timing would be the proper term.
  20. Is your flywheel aluminum ? If not , can you get a machine shop to refinish it for you ?
  21. Maybe....
  22. You need it . Period.
  23. If you are really serious , get a spark plug gapping tool from SnapOn or the likes. They look like pliers and will properly gap and square up the center and ground electrodes. Just don't squeeze too hard or you will push the center electrode down into the porcelain.
  24. Since the timing is "fixed" , I don't know what you are going to do.
