  1. I didn't see a Roper plate in that pile of parts . Get one.
  2. Are there different charges when they are sent as a gift ?
  3. Keep in mind , this is going to be the best bike you will ever own or the biggest regret you ever make. Do not be afraid to ask questions and take advice. Post pics when you get it in hand .
  4. Uh....they are discontinued . Look here , Moto guzzi dealers for NOS , Amazon or eBay for one.
  5. Step # 1 . How much do you know about electrical theory & diagnosis ? When you say "blew up" , what do you mean ?
  6. Good article & good pics to show how-to .
  7. Don't slap anything...Inpeect all connections and run a ground from the engine ( with shakeproof washers between the ground cable to surface ) to the regulator . Renove the alternator cover and look for any hot / burnt places on anything ! Contact Euromotoelectrics for advice / parts while doing this .
  8. Bbennett , how good are you with doing electrical work ? This is now going to be important !
  9. I do not think the weather is a factor . With a DVOM connected to the battery , what are the voltages @ idle , 1200 , 1500 & 2000 RPM ?
  10. I think draining the transmission oil will tell you what you want / don't want to know .
  11. I'm with Kiwi Roy , how did you conclude the stator is bad ? The rotor is attached to the c/shaft end and the stator is attached to the timing cover .
  12. Disconnect one terminal of the battery , fully recharge the battery , wait one day and then check the battery voltage . If is is down , the battery will not hold a charge and needs replacement . If it is good , you have a drain and is running the battery down and you need to find the source of the drain .
  13. Plus , this looks 6" deep .
  14. With the rear wheel up in the air ( on bike stand ) put the trans in gear and pull the clutch lever all the way " in " . The rear wheel should spin freely. If there is much resistance you have a problem
  15. I had the decals applied after the process and then clear coated.
  16. I hope this opens
  17. How realistic tho? PERFECT.... and it is realistic. I will take a pic & post it .
  18. And when Mr. Motorcycle falls, people in the next time zones will hear you say ( insert words here ) all kinds of bad things .
  19. There s a spot under the engine oil pan that accepts it. It will hold the bike up in the air to be able to service the front end. Someone will have to push down on the rear so the front will tilt up to accept the spool.
  20. Thank you....uh , mine was a wet cell edict. Thanks for the correction !
  21. After charging your battery leave it for about 3 hours to stabilize. A fully charged 12v battery is 12.65v at rest.
  22. I had the tail section done this way and it is perfect !
  23. The pressure regulator is vented to atmosphere . The vent hose(s) could be one of two that goes to the underneath of the tank that vents fuel or drain from the filler neck . It could have the other mess of vacuum hoses that I can't help with . The holes in the air cleaner housing are the previous owner's innovation .
  24. How " like a Coppa Italia color scheme " is it ?
