  1. Keep in mind , there will come the day when ( you , motorcycle & stand fall to the ground ) you will say the F word loud enough everyone in a 10 mile radius will know what happened .
  2. You need to do something about your clock .
  3. I have a factory stand and it is an event when I go to put this up ! I have installed a wheel on the handle to where I can move the bike around. Be aware it is difficult to not scratch sacred areas on your bike !
  4. Docc , Footgoose is talking about air getting into the oil intake portion of the lubrication system. Bad for business ! My understanding of the term " cavitaion " is different . Google cavitation to see what you come up with.
  5. You need to leave them alone . What will happen if you remove and inspect these and you find nothing wrong ? You reassemble and do something wrong , these rod bolts are delicate and have been suspect to fail.
  6. Pretty much .........
  7. Jaap , I see a new forum brewing .....
  8. Oh no ! I guess it's confession time . I have a 2004 XC 90 6 cyl. 113k miles. A money pit but I love it.
  9. Hylomar is great stuff if you can find it. Loctite 515 gasket maker is good also . REMEMBER , just enough is all you need. Don't go hog wild with any type of chemicals on gasket surfaces. I do NOT use silicone on any gaskets. After a while , the silicone will allow the gasket to creep and slide out of the mating surfaces .
  10. Check with Euromotoelectrics and see about the rotor tool . When you reassemble do not use silicon except at the bottom corners of the block/cover mating edges.
  11. It is only a matter of taking things off and putting things back together. Be sure to get a rotor removal tool to get the alternator off .
  12. FWIW....eBay has some EBR 1190s for sale . some with 0 miles & some w/less than 1000 miles.
  13. Yep !
  14. I think you need the starter that has the correct # of teeth .
  15. Please explain your last sentence ... I lost something in the intrepretation
  16. My 2 cents ....you will want both idle speed screws to be holding the throttle plates off the bores of the throttle bodies . This keeps unwanted wear from the plates and bores . When I remember my procedure and adjustments I will report it . Getting old is NOT fun.
  17. If it were me , I would contact euromotoelectrics and see if they could sell you the housing with magnets in place or just another starter .
  18. Whew....
  19. You do not need to pull the head . The small leak is the O-rings at the base of the rocker arm mounts .
  20. I know they make slow blow fuses for glass tube type fuses . Does anyone know if they make them for ATO { blade type } fuses ?
  21. This will work until it stops working. That relay is not in this circuit just for entertainment . A relay is there to handle the current the other components shouldn't .
  22. p.s. These magnets must be placed exactly where they were .
  23. Measure the thread pitch and substitute a capscrew that has a head on it you can tighten and loosen . Those things are used as a theft deterrent or tamper proof screws. In this case it is for the ignition switch .
  24. You find a good painter and pay him cash money to do the job . It cost me $150 to have a front fender and bikini fairing painted.
  25. I would say that is what is .
