  1. An absolute law concerning synthetic lubricants : Do not use synthetic lubricants in engines w/wet clutches . Unless something has changed I am not aware of this stuff can ruin them .
  2. As long as Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie make the movie !
  3. I have been taught to use fully synthetic or not . A semi blend just isn't as good . Use one or the other. There are all kinds of additives specific to diesel v gasoline engines . Stick with engine oils for gas engines .Someone posted earlier about a GM Engine oil supplement being good. Search for it or they might repost .
  4. I would be much happier with the blessings from the man in jail . You might become better friends with him after he is released .
  5. I'm with Zooter , this man in jail might not be too happy to get out & discover his belongings have been plundered .
  6. You can also e-mail the prick and tell him to look on Ali Baba for a Chinese knock-off that sells for less than anyone else .People that shop simply for cost don't deserve your business .
  7. I don't know about outside the U.S. but it is not worth the effort . Your part first has to be patented or applied for . You need to be able to prove patent infringement . You then need to give them a cease & desist order .If they persist , then you give lots of money to an attorney to litigate your cause .
  8. Thank you for pointing this out .....
  9. Do any of you on this site purchase condoms or parachutes based on price ?
  10. You did well .......
  11. Yes , it stated the part is for Triumph / Aprillia .
  12. I am referring to the Oberon fuel cap on my 03 Sport . Screw threads and open throat , so no trouble w/fueling up .
  13. When I called it a 350 Sprint , I assumed everyone saw the H/D badge on the tank . It was marketed ( as a Harley ) along with a 100 cc dirt bike named the Baja ca. 1970. These were made by Aermacchi and rebadged H/D .
  14. The oil light will go out with just a few lbs. of pressure . Don't be too happy just because the light is not on .
  15. I love mine !
  16. I know it is a 350 Sprint but it was manufactured by Aermacchi . I hope this spelling is correct ?
  17. I got mine from an eBay store a few years ago . The seller stated it fit Aprilia / Triumph & Moto Guzzi . I assume Acerbis make the tanks for these if not most European tanks .These all use 3 socket head capscrew mounting .
  18. The part # was faded from the label . Inside was a packing list w/the (n I hope) part # 99743-11 . The application is for Aprilia and Triumph motorcycles.
  19. I will look on the box ( I don't throw things away ) and let you know . The Ducati , Aprillia , etc. fits the MG .
  20. Google Oberon fuel caps and see what you come up with . I got mine off eBay at a much discounted price . All color combinations w/o a lock .
  21. I do think it would be more economical to leave the c/shaft where it is and do the rods/pistons and live with the results .
  22. Uh....not quite. You can drop the oil pan & look in the oil pan . You might see a lot of metallic particles floating in the oil . If so , remove the rod caps ( after using a metal stamp to index them to each rod and direction) and look to see if the bearing and rod journal are o.k or not. How much you know or don't know will depend on your success . Be honest w/yourself and Google pictures of these terms , procedures and repairs to be aware of your situation and direction you need to take .
  23. Whew......it sounds like you have a rod knocking ? What is your mechanical ability ? The oil pan needs to come off and inspect the lower end to verify. Do NOT run or ride this until you verify this noise !
  24. Yes....here it is called welding a 'stringer' bead inside the circumference of the cup and allowing it to cool. It will usually fall out.
  25. I've heard that before......
