  1. Bbennett , how good are you with doing electrical work ? This is now going to be important !
  2. I do not think the weather is a factor . With a DVOM connected to the battery , what are the voltages @ idle , 1200 , 1500 & 2000 RPM ?
  3. I think draining the transmission oil will tell you what you want / don't want to know .
  4. I'm with Kiwi Roy , how did you conclude the stator is bad ? The rotor is attached to the c/shaft end and the stator is attached to the timing cover .
  5. Disconnect one terminal of the battery , fully recharge the battery , wait one day and then check the battery voltage . If is is down , the battery will not hold a charge and needs replacement . If it is good , you have a drain and is running the battery down and you need to find the source of the drain .
  6. Plus , this looks 6" deep .
  7. With the rear wheel up in the air ( on bike stand ) put the trans in gear and pull the clutch lever all the way " in " . The rear wheel should spin freely. If there is much resistance you have a problem
  8. I had the decals applied after the process and then clear coated.
  9. I hope this opens
  10. How realistic tho? PERFECT.... and it is realistic. I will take a pic & post it .
  11. And when Mr. Motorcycle falls, people in the next time zones will hear you say ( insert words here ) all kinds of bad things .
  12. There s a spot under the engine oil pan that accepts it. It will hold the bike up in the air to be able to service the front end. Someone will have to push down on the rear so the front will tilt up to accept the spool.
  13. Thank you....uh , mine was a wet cell edict. Thanks for the correction !
  14. After charging your battery leave it for about 3 hours to stabilize. A fully charged 12v battery is 12.65v at rest.
  15. I had the tail section done this way and it is perfect !
  16. The pressure regulator is vented to atmosphere . The vent hose(s) could be one of two that goes to the underneath of the tank that vents fuel or drain from the filler neck . It could have the other mess of vacuum hoses that I can't help with . The holes in the air cleaner housing are the previous owner's innovation .
  17. How " like a Coppa Italia color scheme " is it ?
  18. TX Redneck . This appears to be one of your last entries . You have no idea how much you are missed . I was going to post the fact this is Tesla's birthday but yours is more important. RIP.
  19. With the right adjustments you can cure the hiccups . It is good to have you as a member. Have fun riding / improving YOUR bike.
  20. My persomal opinion , roller bearings do not like axial load. Just remove ALL slack on these situations and then jam nut .
  21. When the flywheel/clutch disintegrates and destroys the block and gearbox it turns your motorcycle a parts bike.
  22. It appears they know what they are doing. The workmanship looks perfect.
  23. www.pure-gas.org is the site I found to locate alcohol free pumps. Sorry about the first entry.
