  1. Got a pic.... I might have a suggestion .
  2. He probably is referring to Teo Lamers ..
  3. If you hadn't scratched up the fuel tank & script I could have recognized it immediately ! A Matchless ?
  4. Wonderful ?
  5. "Semi" ride-by-wire ?
  6. If you want this , I need to know which side ...
  7. You're in luck ! I found some fork parts I purchased from Paul or Jaap a few years ago ! PM me and we will work something out .
  8. Will do !
  9. I am showing my ignorance.....what is the difference between a Scura and a Scura R ?
  10. I think this recall is for the plastic fuel line connectors. They should recall the wheel bearings in the rear axle. I am not sore if the wheel bearing w/more balls is actually going to fix this problem or not ?
  11. For sure .... He was ( is ) a great guy. IDK what happened to him .
  12. Well....where is BFG ? [Moderator edit: link to Paging BFG?]
  13. My spare wheel ( w/the worst quality nut of all time on the valve stem) has the 8 mm opening on the front wheel . You should dismount the tire to see if you have enough material to drill this out to accept the larger valve stem .
  14. Fastenal (or anyone else)does not make tools for these threads ! Anti-sieze and bad words helped too .
  15. It's better to be canonized than vilified !
  16. Don't worry about going by model years. An external pump has the chin pad & the internal pump does not. I think the red frame to black frame is when the frame/swingarm dimensions changed.
  17. You should grind a taper on the end of the pin so it will go into the bore of the swingarm pivot bearing. Also, I would pop off the dust shield on the bearing and fill the cavity w/grease and reinstall the dust shield. p.s. DO NOT mess up the threads of the "pin" or the pork chop. If you do , remove the chop and screw the pin in from the inside and back it out straightening up the threads. No one has to ask how I know this procedure .
  18. I would clean up the spacer til it is perfect . Then make a bushing to fit the bore of the hub and fit the spacer. The spacer is needed in holding the wheel bearings & other parts tight in the wheel .
  19. $$$$ I looked at those a few mos. ago.... about $140/ea. Be careful installing them , use a proper tool & drive or push on the o/s part of the bearing.
  20. It probably should have had a bronze bushing but it didn't . It will not be too difficult to get the diff. off the bike & replace .
  21. Where are you going to purchase the parts ? Go to the SKF website & decipher the entire part # . The prefix and suffix tell all about axial load, speed, seal material, etc..... Not all 6204 bearings are the same . Do not go for the price only when selecting these parts. Good luck
  22. Pete has the date of the 6th of Jan. 2013... not 2014
  23. Using relays to turn on a device is always better than using the switch to carry the current to power to the load . A manufacturer should do this at all opportunities but added costs factor into this . You know what wins = cost . If you have enough time , resources, etc.... you should add the relays .
