  1. The MGNOC newsletter has gone paperless. I don't know if you can access the Member Directory from the website or not. For those here in the States, it is worth being a member.
  2. And I thought it had to do with violins ?
  3. Ditto...........
  4. If you owned a pre-Flying Brick model that is what would happen. Oil Heads & Flying Bricks, I am not sure of.......
  5. You will trust them more if you don't service the splines frequently enough and lose the clutch going down the highway, then spend a day or two having a new disc installed and lubricating the splines with that special grease you are talking about.
  6. Any air will cause you all kinds of greif. You are dealing with a very small volume so the problem will be magnified.
  7. A professional automotive paint store has a machine that can scan THE color of your component you take into the store and mix THE color for you. Now, that will be the present color of that part. After it has been on the bike and the elements cause fading, it may not be identical. You can discuss that with them. Good luck !
  8. Docc, I think the o-ring on ALL of the crank sensors go bad. Mine did too.
  9. If you decide to teardown, the best thing you could do is: after disassembly (1) clean all rust, grease etc. from the splines of the hub and disc. (2) use a dry film graphite spray(APA or LPS-1 has very good products) and coat everything that has a spline and let dry. Reassemble and bleed the clutch to make sure everything will work correctly. p.s. remove the clutch bleeder and apply anti-sieze to the threads of the bleeder screw. Everything that has threads gets ant-sieze or Loctite.
  10. Do you own a stand you can put the bike on that will hold the rear wheel up off the ground? If so, put the bike in gear, pull in the clutch and try to have someone turn the rear wheel to see if there is any drag. If so, you will need to do something either external or internal.
  11. (1)I would do something a little different with the headlight system. (2) I hope he sells everyone he can build. (3) He should hire me to tour the country n promote the bike. I would be a little more negotiable than King James or Albert Pujols............
  12. ponti, The more I look at this; the more I wish I would stop looking at this...........
  13. It looks like a H-D 100 Baja made by Aermacchi ?
  14. "Bling" is the proper word............
  15. Now BFG, see what you made me do. Touche'
  16. Uh, Yes. I'm afraid motorcycle manufacturers are building to customer whims rather than their own culture of tradition, passion, heritage, lineage and direction. The motorcycle market is like the car market. If you stripped their badges you would not be able to identify them. MotoGuzzi has removed every characteristic that has made it MotoGuzzi. When they water cool it, I am going to croak. On the bright side: I love the V 7 classic & Cafe models, the Griso (I know yours was s**t) and the Stelvio. I will never come to grips with the MGS-01 that never came to be.
  17. Yeah, but I want SHINE !
  18. Find someone with a UV light & appropriate dye and start looking.
  19. Sounds good to me.... I think I will scrape off some paint so I don't have to lose weight. Is 246 lb. Heavy?????
  20. Yeah, no joke there. My BMW experiment has proven that to be very true. . There are two categories of BMW riders.... Those I like & those I don't.
  21. I spray white lithium spray lube in the gear reduction assy. and put a small amount of wheel bearing lube in the bushing cavities .
  22. Has anyone here figured out a process to restore the matte finish on their $$$$ carbon fiber parts? I luv them but I don't like what Mr. Sunshine has done to them.
  23. If you owned the Roundel you would be bragging that you paid $400.00 for the part, your dealer only charged you $200 for installation & free latte. Make that the Teutonic Roundel...........
  24. raz, you stole my thunder !
