  1. Sometimes you can gravity bleed. This means to remove the reservoir cap, back off the bleeder screw one turn and allow the fluid to siphon from the reservoir. DO keep the reservoir FULL while doing this. when you are satisfied the fluid has been exchanged, tighten the bleeder screw and fill the reservoir as needed.
  2. Lateral clearnce? How much? Can you buy machinery spacers/ shims or washers to adjust clearance?
  3. Do you think you will leave your innovation(s) on the bike permenantly ?
  4. Not for a lefty.
  5. I don't know if the fuel tanks can be repainted "properly" or maybe you can get a uesd tank. He can't use the exhaust so have him include them.

  12. What kind of feeling did you get when this happened ?
  13. That's really interesting, I was wondering about the possibility of A/ swapping the alternator stator out for a 3 phase style or B/ simply re-winding the existing stator as a 3 phase. It would be possible to do either in theory. A/ I think it would be easier to find a rotor and stator about the same overall size and machine it down to fit. B/ I think the existing rotor has 14 coils and I assune 14 slots, it's a little bit hard to distribute 3 coils evenly across that many however I'm not a motor winder, there may be a way. When my regulator was playing up I tried just using a bridge rectifier in it's place. The resulting Voltage was a way too high leading me to believe the existing alternator has lots of capacity. I will try to get my prototype regulator together over the next couple of weeks to see if it takes care of the issue. I am using 50 Amp components. Roy Could you make a schematic of the single phase charging system & voltage regulator for this setup or have you done his already ?
  14. Thanks. I like you already. You need to raise your standards........... and, thank you..
  15. I usse Motorcraft synthetic. Most everyone this site uses the Redline Shockproof stuff.
  16. Do these come with or w/out spring ? Can you use the rear spring already on the bike?
  17. Huh? Also, do you mean week or weak? I am a lefty & I'm not sure if I'm f**ked up or everyone else is?
  18. Is there an ugly Italian woman ?
  19. Carfax is not "The Gospel".... Our daughter bought a Cougar after going through Carfax. When we got it here we found out every body part on the front was new. I don't think they install FOMOCO part # labels on assembly line parts. As long as a car can be sold and repaired without it being a recorded incident there is no evidence of an accident. Also if a repair is not made at a same company (Ford product/Ford dealership) dealership there is no record to attach to the vehicle.
  20. Beautiful project !
  21. I need to get 40lbs. off my tool shed !
  22. Do you have access to a non-contact heat gun? If you do, you can check both exhaust pipes for the same temperatures. This will show if one side is rich or lean. Did this condition happen over time or immediately? Fuel injectors can and will do anything. Your symptom(s) might be attributed to this, I do not know. You should contact www.lindertech.com in Indiana 1-888-809-3835. These people will take your injectors, flow rate & check spray pattern. They will quote a price to recondition or give you a matched set.
