  1. Don't waste the money. No one is going to steal it because they can't sell any parts because it doesn't break! It is too exotic to ride around on because it is too noticeable. just remove the keys when you get off. Or you could get cheap and make a decal with some BadA** GPS alarm/theft deterrent system and apply it to the fuel tank! BREAK not brake!
  2. Get Greg Field's opinopn. Whatevre he says is a fair price is a fair price for both parties.
  3. What model year is the bike? 2200 mi.? Price and value is in the eye of the beholder.Buy it, you won't regret it!
  4. I would reuse a metal shim style gasket using Loc-tite 515 anaeorbic (sp) sealer or Yamabond. Any type of sealer should be used sparingly with it just oozing out of the mating surfaces when tightened.
  5. when I first saw the MGS-01 Corsa I thought it was the MOST beautiful bike EVER made. $25k, no problem. Rob a bank. Then.....fizzle. Pencil-pushers (or whom ever is leading)never listen to the peasants. How do you say "let them eat cake" in italian? p.s. you don't have to buy new.
  6. The grease fitting we all see was invented and patented by Oscar Zerk. Arthur Guldborg and his father invented the grease gun while working for for the Alemite Die Cast Co.
  7. You want to grease the fitting of the splined portion afer everything is installed.
  8. It's not the education that hurts, it's the tuition !!!!!
  9. Now go underground with your conversations.
  10. Did you try Googleing(sp) to find a distributor in N.America ? On buying from Italy: know the exchange rate on the day of purchase, the charges your credit card co. will bill you for exchanging currency, the (WOW) shipping charges and last but not least, the duties you might get billed for entering the U.S. A gift from a friend in Italy might be exempt from lots ot these $ though.
  11. Please consider going OEM. The heater hoses that people install are not compatible with petroleum products. They handle coolant only. When these are used with petroleum products they swell on the inside where the oil fumes contact the rubber.
  12. Go hang around some independent(who works on your car?) auto garage and ask if they will help. The dye is around $10.00 and you will not use 1/4 of the bottle in EITHER the crankcase or transmission.
  13. Sorry my response didn't show up. Do you have access to dye and a light made for finding oil leaks. It takes ALL the guesswork out of play. You can put it in the engine or gearbox and run it for a few days.Check it late in the afternoon for less sunlight and best results. If it shows up leaking with no dye,you know it was the part you did not install the dye into. Hope this helps, gene
  14. You can use these push pins (used to hold body plastic parts on in the automotive industry) to fill the holes. You can get these at auto parts stores. The fender is matte black so it will hardly be seen.
  15. Unless you have a dealer who is an idiot you are not going to save anything with what you are attempting. First, you will have to purchase the AXEONE. Second ,you will have to be trained to use it. Third,do you realize how much you are going to spend to accomplish this? Why not treat your mechanic to lunch and discuss tips on calibration, adjustments, etc. Making him aware of your appreciation for him and his knowledge will get you much further than anything else. Everyone here in the States uses a PowerCommander or similar device to fine tune glitchers with their bike. if you go for this, go to a dealer that sells and services thes units. Buying something you can't work on competently is a waste of money. Hope this helps! Gene
  16. I judge a mechanic on his opinion of Slick 50.
  17. I've been told this model was built to clone the BMWs of WW11 to confuse the German troops.
  18. I got some stuff off ebay from a wrecked V11. I wil try to find his name and you can contact him.
  19. Don't get too excited yet. Ride a few hundred miles before you decide to replace the sensor.
  20. What is the part # for the throttle cam on your bike? How much?
