  1. I would be tempted to just check the pressure with a manual gauge occasionally and rely on the light.
  2. Pull the caliper. It's not that tough. Then you can see what is causing the removal problem.......... p.s. ANY rubber components around,in or on this brake caliper will not tolerate any petroleum products. If you do use a penetrant or lubricant wash it off with BrakeKleen .
  3. I don''t think you could do this "safely". If you were going to do this, you would use a rheostat, not a potentiometer in series with the signal return wire or in series with the voltage reference signal.
  4. Normal. That is not quite the word but is one that works. As RH said, when it stops making these rackets you need to worry!
  5. Wow....... tenacious.
  6. Your last line should be a decal across the fuel tank of every V11 ever produced ! For the oil filter, call MotoInternational for parts. NO Wallyworld or AZ junk ! Please hose clamp the filter to save any regrets.
  7. Ditto to Ratch's post ! You can fix this noise by wearing the best ear plugs and a good full face helmet..
  8. Your concerns; #1. Parts are available for the V11. Parts are available for nuclear subs also. Pricey with a little waiting period. #2 Price of upkeep is subjective. #3 People say Guzzis are unreliable. People say lots of things, what do you want to hear? My concerns; are you left-handed? Do you own a Mac computer? If you answer yes to either question buy the motorcycle, it is made for you. If you needed to get to this part of the quiz, ask yourself: Do I want to spend my spare time musing over and tinkering with a mechanical object? Are you proficient in working on your toys? So the answer is YES. Good. go and put the bike on a center stand. sit on it for 30 min., moving forward and backward in various positions to see if you feel comfortable. Get it off the stand and lay the bike over as far as you feel comfortable (w/out dropping it) to see if it is too heavy for you. If you honestly feel that this what you want then buy it. There are enough friends that will help you to keep it going. There are soft bag kits ( I don't like hard bags) for these bikes. Good luck!
  9. This new site is going to take some adjustment.......I miss the clock for some crazy reason. I do enjoy being a member of this club. I am grateful you have taken time to give us a great place to meet and converse. Good job... Gene

  10. I see you are the new "newest member"...It's good to have you in the club. Do you own ant bikes other than Guzzis?

  11. Danno, Do you think you are capable (and I'm not being a smart**s) of this? I have a neat trick of setting the balance that I can explain over the phone or pm you personally.
  12. I thought you would like that!
  13. Has anyone considered the frame is shrinking?
  14. welcome to the show. It looks like you have an amalgam of of bikes. Don't be afraid to say what you think as long as it's not political or climate related. Gene
  15. Paul, just curious. What are the lift specs?
  16. Do you own a dVOM or know anyone that does? Do you know how to use one and why you will be using it?
  17. Again; can you post a picture? If it is the red 90 deg. plastic fitting coming out the bottom maybe you can replace it.
  18. Your point being?
  19. I have looked at this trash until I can no longer stand it. You have reduced women to mammary gland flower pots. There are more important things to a woman than t*****s!
  20. I have looked at this trash as long as possible. I feel as I have to say:you have reduced them to mammary gland vehicles and there are more important things on a woman than her breasts. This is the BEST example!
  21. luhbo, do you have all these memorized?
  22. Jumper cables required!
  23. It's hard to comprehend the beauty of something like this when designs were inspired by visions instead of boardroom meetings, actuary predictions and CNC germless manufacturing. I could muse at these sculptures of mechanical beauty for hours.
  24. Can you post pics? Maybe we can provide some alternatives......
  25. ?#1 the whole philosiphy behind a sealed battery is to maintain the gas in the battery package so you will not have to add distilled water to the battery. The charging (and discharging) process generates the gas and it would normally go into the atmosphere. ?#2&3 This statement releases them from liability if you are charging the battery and striking matches within an inch of the battery. You don't want battery acid in your eyes or on your skin. I don't think you are going to overcharge a battery unless you charge it at 20 a. for a few days. I hope no one on this site is that stupid. If you have ever had a battery explode within a 12 in. of your face you will understand just how combustible hydrogen is.
