Upon further examination, the Vincent had a rear suspension system similar to the V11 monoshock setup on the factory bikes. The only thing "Vincent" about this bike is powerplant. Look at the decal on the fuel tank.

This is coming from poor memory. At Mid Ohio a few years back i noticed two combinations of carb set-ups.It depended upon whether you had a factory set-up or some had two front or two rear cylinders (I can't remember which) on the engines.I have not seen one with the tank cutout for one carb.

It's not a Posidrive. It's a mess! Traditionally there have been 3 types of these screw heads;Phillips,reed & prince and Posidrive. Who knows what is made now. You could look on SnapOn's website for further info.They would probably be first in line to make a screwdriver to fit this type of head.

Is your fuel pump mounted on the frame rail or down on the side beneath the tank? What did you repair to get a flow of fuel? If you disconnect the return line on the r.h.side this will give you evidence of fuel flow when you turn the ignition on.MG does not seem to follow any order in the assembly of these fuel line routings but I hope you get the same results. The fuel petcock is "on"? Verify this by pulling this fuel line and watching a LARGE amount of fuel go everywhere before you reattach the fuel line. p.s. How many times did you cycle the ignition before you gave up and pushed your chariot back to the house?

You should have a 60 degree swing in 10 days,50mm of ice on EVERYTHING for 6 days, no electricity for 15 days with another 10 days before expected restoration of electrical service. Today it is 65 degrees. Who knows what tomorrow will be.

E85 fuel is not a good fuel for performance or gas mileage. It requires more fuel to do the same work and to cover the same distance as conventional gasoline. It also will destroy ALL rubber it comes in contact with in the fuel system that was NOT designed to work with.

I am more astonished every day why Moto Guzzi did not sell one hundred thousand of the V11 models. The first Green Meanie I saw was instant lust.If I could I would have a harem with one of every model. I can not understand how someone could walk past these bikes without wanting to make love to them. I do prefer this bike over thes 600s and 1litre crotch rockets these idiots are playing "Russian Roulette" with. My 87 LeMans was doing the same thing.Joe Eish told me it was (and was) the o-rings under the rocker arm stands. I don't know if these are still this way or not.

Hey I installed a brass adapter replacing the plastic one. I filled the cavity with FORD heat sink compound when I put the CHT sensor back in the adapter. I didn't notice any difference in performance. Every sensor I know of (in this use) comes in direct contact with the substance it is monitoring.

The problem we now have reminds me of this story. There are some people in a boat far away from the shore. The boat develops a hole in the hull and starts taking on water.
