  1. OK , what leads you to this conclusion ?
  2. I am sorry to hear . He and his wife were extraordinary ! When I first started buying from them . the parts came in washing powder boxes torn into the appropriate size and taped up with masking tape along w/a grocery store ticket . You got it with a MGNOC discount and open account . They both have passed , along with most of my friends .
  3. MG is not the only company using this coupling/fitting setup . IDK what other company uses this style of fitting. I know the oil head came w/a junky plastic coupling and an aftermarket company has one available . I just don't know who or part # . Start looking!
  4. With automobiles , about August the next model year is being produced. When you start buying parts you need the VIN to get the right parts .Most parts places will take your license plate info and produce your vehicle's VIN .
  5. Probably , a lot of both !
  6. I found out about uncertainty when I got fork seals, bushings, etc. Got the forks apart to find out there is a difference in dia.) forks.
  7. You might want to eat scrapple a few times before knowing what it is .
  8. Well , scrapple is what it is . Souse meat , head cheese , pickled pigs feet and snapping turtle were things all the "old people" considered GREAT stuff to eat . I could only look at this stuff with bewilderment ! Snapping turtle was the only thing I could eat . Whew . So ,I didn't see scrapple as something terrible .
  9. OMG ! Seven miles from Madisonville to Hanson ? We were on our way home from a mini-vacation/anniversary/get away in West Baden , In. and stopped there because our stomachs said "lunchtime" .
  10. I would hate to work in a parts dept. selling parts for bikes like that. You would have to go by VIN only.
  11. The OEM hose ain't suitable for anything , but it has the correct angles ! It is rubber (I think) only w/no cloth woven into it . This stuff deteriorates the moment it is removed from the plastic bag it comes in . i thught mine was in PERFECT shape until I went to look at how to R&R it to give advice to a member on this site . Yuck , it was junk . Harper's : mmmmm. good luck . MG cycle : I use them since Joe Eish is NLA .
  12. Just stay away from the HOTTEST Mexican food of all time on a bike ride !
  13. I would try a Peet boot dryer ( use outside to keep the smell out of the house } to get the gasoline out .
  14. Just like my pork chops . Looks like someone was POd and the only thing they had were an attitude and a chipping hammer !
  15. There is a "critically acclaimed" BBQ place in Murphysboro , Il. 17th St. BBQ. It's a good place to end up on a warm Saturday afternoon bike ride . Good place to go , but the BBQ is ok. Not the bst , but is good.
  16. I never said I like it , I have seen it served at certain places ! I can't imagine anything green on my BBQ sandwich . It is a personal opinion . Uh , we did stop @ Dos Copas in Madisonville Friday for a great meal for the 2 of us for $21 . It was terrific and the place was BUSY !
  17. Survey time ; how many of you have had a BBQ sandwich served with cole slaw in (between the meat and the bun) the sandwich ? Some places around here serve it that way .
  18. Yep !
  19. Go ahead , you will regret it.
  20. BTW , keep one on hand . These things fail all the time and have a short lifespan .
  21. Sure thing . The red frame has green body parts , unpainted powertrain , forks , hubs , wheels , etc...... The black frame has (originally faded green tank) 3 different tanks , AWFUL black engine coating , black forks , hubs , wheels , etc.....
  22. My 03 is the same. Awful engine paint , remote fuel pump , white gauges , etc.......
  23. According to 02 V11"s SN , his bike should be a 2003 . Is the 10th character the yr of production ?
  24. With MG , who knows ?
