  1. Should we add an electrical theory forum to this site or is a part of the Moto Guzzi ownership included ? p.s. I thought I was the only one curious {stupid} enough to take off down the driveway with a coil in my hand seeing how much wire IS in a winding .
  2. Is this the only starter solenoid you have found to have this setup . This setup is seen a lot on fuel {shutoff} control solenoids on diesel systems , and I forgot ,gasoline fuel injectors .
  3. Is this some kind of jacked up pull / hold winding like some solenoids use ?
  4. The best thing this tool does , is to keep the brake fluid away from things it's not supposed to touch .
  5. You knew then you had some sort of catharsis going on !
  6. A set of slip-ons are just like a stereo , everyone else's sounds better .
  7. That man is still 10,00 years ahead of his time
  8. Were you on board when it took off ?
  9. Docc , are there any threads left in the block so you can install threaded rod and use it as a stud ?
  10. Timesert . The best !
  11. Is it leaking at the nipple/pump connection ? I assume this is a pipe thread connection ? Is it leaking at the hose/pipe connection ?
  12. It kept airplanes from falling out of the skies .
  13. I would suspect the caliper would be anodized ?
  14. $20 is a steal . Up here is at least $100 @ dealerships in Paducah , and they don't back down . If you've ever owned a scanner...... Mine was $7k five years ago w/a $120/mo. subscription !
  15. Carl Perkins ! One of The Greatest of All Time
  16. Get the rear wheel off the ground and apply the brake & release . If the rear wheel does not release and it is stuck , loosen the caliper bleed screw and see what happens . Do this a couple of times to see what happens . If it does not release , the problem IS the caliper & go to step 1 If the caliper releases go to step 2 . #1 . Pull the caliper off the wheel and push each piston out (w/the master cyl. pressure) to see which piston is sticking . If you feel capable remove all pistons and inspect . while you are doing all brake work , use Brake-Kleen only . No petroleum products. When you go back together , go to an old style auto parts store for some brake assy. fluid and reassemble. #2 Rebuild brake master cyl. Be deliberate in all steps and tests .
  17. What happened to radio ? When I was in my teens , 100.7 out of Cape Girardeau played the most progressive , heavy metal and greatest R&R I had ever heard . The DJ was "The Nighthog" and every night the station would sign off with Nights in White Satin . Then in the early 90s I stumbled across this station that played In The Air Tonight 24 hrs a day for what seemed like 3 days straight , the it CAME ON . These guys played Robert Cray , Melissa Ethridge and others I NEVER heard of . Those were the days !
  18. That looks pretty good !
  19. Marantz .... I haven't heard that name in a while. I bought these digital audio speakers from this computer repair place (20+ yrs ago) across the river , then had to buy a sound card to play the speakers. There were instruments being played I never knew were in these songs ! Think Bose x Bose . Then I had this surround system ( 5.1 or something like that ) w/about 12 speakers . It was overkill for my living room . I lost the owners manual on how to operate . Finally gave it all to a buddy just to get it out of the way . BTW , I had to play play the 2001 A Space Odyssey {full volume of course) each time I got a new system going ..... Ahhhh... Come on feel the noise !
  20. You can do what ?
  21. Well , go to Auto Zone and price one . IDK if MG uses these fittings exclusively or not . We have had to buy other brand part #s for the same parts .
