  1. These ( I talian ) bikes have a personality all their own . If you don't know the order of procedure , you a screwed .
  2. Do start your repairs after verifying a GOOD battery.
  3. I saw this cartoon with a cat on a "table" of the Earth and the caption stated "if the Earth were flat , cats would have knocked everything off by now"
  4. A bride player ?
  5. Whew , that varies from State to State . In some states , if a vehicle is over ___ years old a title is no longer needed . Some states are so stupid you give up on trying to license them . Years ago there were places that advertised in magazines where you could pay $X , send them a bill of sale w/VIN , mileage , etc. , they would send you a title (Vt) and all needed papers to get your chariot on the road. Pretty slick. I think this has been shut down because the states.....well you know how states are. with all this being said , you will just have to check where you live.
  6. You should have a "conversation" w/those flat-earthers !
  7. "It was supposed to have been fully serviced but clearly it wasn't" . If it were FULLY serviced it would have been $1,000 more to the price tag. I would suspect oil change , valve adjustment and fluid checks only .
  8. Soldering is a feat you have to do all the time to stay good at . Using (old) good resin core solder , good flux and a good iron or gun. I do it just frequently enough to look terrible. I hope you are using a GOOD heat-shrink tubing to close the deal ? It doesn't hurt to practice 15 mins before soldering the real connection either.
  9. My rocker arms would look like the one on the right long enough to get some more and I would inspect the top of the valve to see what it looked like too . This stuff really needs looking at .
  10. you got that rite. Valves get tighter not looser. BTW , I use International specs.
  11. Well , I haven't had them checked with The Bureau of Weights and Measures..... but I am satisfied with the results. They are all SnapOn brand. P.S. I do hope you are BSin' me.
  12. My personal method on valve clearance adjustment : tighten the adjusting screw until the feeler gauge will not move , Loosen the screw until the feeler gauge slides out , holding the screw in place then tighten the adjusting nut until it is snug AKA not coming loose . then I am happy.
  13. Are you going to try and salvage this ? Post some better pics of this .
  14. IDK what makes a beautiful bike sit on a showroom floor. The W650 , GB500 and other are beautiful , functional , fun to ride , simple and easy (none) to maintain and were wallflowers . The V11 fit a lot of these categories too. I cannot remember not knowing what these bikes look like and I cannot think of ever getting rid of them .
  15. Uhhhh , have you greased the grease fitting at the slip yoke to push it apart ?
  16. I am no historian but NO . I've never known of anything other than Marzocchi or Ohlins.
  17. Good , these require steps in diagnosing/repairing and if the tech speaks the English language they can join the forum and get involved with asking questions .
  18. @David Sandbrook David S , did you get your bike repaired / running correctly ?
  19. And you are not required to stick to 10k oil changes like some vehicle manufacturers are stretching out to .
  20. You n Mrs Guzzi are EXTREMELY fortunate !
  21. No woman has ever exuded whatever she exudes !
  22. docc , I am gonna say # 4 relay was the culprit
