  1. I bought mine from Diesel . He lives around Georgetown/Frankfort area . He bought them from Rossopuro (I think) and didn't have them just a few weeks , crash & burned his bike , listed them on this site and I bought them in a few hours ! Don't remember what he did w/the rest of the bike ? Now , these things do look this righteous . Trust me . They sre Alpina wheels marketed through Rossopuro . If Rossopuro does not respond , contact Alpina . Be ready to press "buy it now" 1 You will not regret it. Forgive my spelling . I am doing this w/o cheaters
  2. This paint job is righteous !
  3. They are fantastic . they sat on the dealership's floor forever and could / would not sell. Now , they are gold.
  4. For now , you start at the end . The starter solenoid wire , or the beginning. The ign. switch. If you want to call it the beginning .
  5. Whew , there would have to be a flowchart built to be able to diagnose this "no-start" condition. There are so many problems [when it is a no-start] w/this bike it would take some time to do. For now you just have to be on top of things when experiencing a no-start . A test light , a wiring diagram and deduction .
  6. Fish tablets ? I would eat out of a litter bow to ease this pain . This gettin' old caper is not funny at all !
  7. Andie McDowell ? YEOW !!! The arthritis in my hands . I will just have to show you . I thought it was the lubricants I have on my hands 10hrs/day. This just came up out of nowhere in the last 6mos. This started with the joints in my middle fingers and it got worse. I have never ever had anything like this before .
  8. That shift indicator statement reminded me of a sarcastic story I read of a BMW rider that rode the Iron Butt in first gear because his shift indicator read 6 .
  9. I did the relays to my 87 and wired it so both dim & bright would come on w/high beams .
  10. I am gonna be there . It might be in a F250 support vehicle w a tool box full of tools , but I will be there . Arthritis is so bad I don't think I could hold grips long enuf to make the ride .
  11. As much as we discuss this matter , I would think Piaggio would want the name Moto Guzzi promulgated and be happy to have forums , websites and owners groups displaying the name , symbols , etc. Do you know how good it feels to be gassing up and someone comes up and knows what you are riding and can pronounce it correctly ? I would not doubt that the people running this business have never straddled a bike , couldn't even start one , or know where to add the fuel. The only thing they know is from authority not experience.
  12. I Ain't Got you by The Yardbirds ?
  13. Not a very god way to get ready to sell something? Piss everyone off before it goes up for sale .
  14. You know you're gettin' old when you make the statement "it's been 47 yrs. since I've smoked ANY pot . Then you sit there and muse that for an hour.
  15. $9k for a 2003 ? It had better have some kind of history . Ann Margaret or someone like her .
  16. A buddy of mine was having a get together on his boat late one afternoon and he walked up on them at the stern and was listening to them talking about meds & ailments . He busted them out saying "40 yrs ago you were braggin' about what drugs you had been taking & now you're complainin' about all the drugs you are taking" !
  17. The BEST stuff. If it goes on R/R aircraft powerplants , it must be good. Just a smear is all you need. When you disassemble , the gasket remains intact and if you want you can reuse it.
  18. You can and just for safety's sake put 5 pin relays in all positions . The one 5 pin relay in your bike now acts as a load shedding relay. This removes all unnecessary power so all the current can go to start the bike.
  19. I like the word left in place but scribbled out!
  20. Now that's funny !
  21. In my work (heavy eq. mechanic) I have tried to tell the higher ups , there are helicopter pilots and there are helicopter mechanics . You are one or the other PERIOD
  22. If you have the stuff or a buddy has the stuff , Weatherpack or Deutch connectors, these things are the answer to any / all connector issues .
  23. All it has to do is to remain in the air for more than 59 seconds ! This time should accompany a soft landing !
  24. Oh no ! These are the first videos I have watched that I didn't lean in the turns .
  25. It is "possible" that this treatment of electrical tape is the same kind of treatment as cow magnets , clothespins , aluminum foil , etc. that was applied to fuel lines to carb. fuel systems to correct certain problems ! This is a long drawn out procedure but to remove each terminal and crimp the scroll ends of each terminal is the only way to go. Installing the BEST relay possible is the best way to help stop this trouble. The Caig Deoxit , Motorcraft electrical grease , etc. too . I don't go w/Vaseline because of the low melting point. Any electrical parts , go to an aircraft or marine supplier . Waytek is a good vendor.
