  1. Those fuel line connectors will take practice . after you get the hang of it , it will smoke you on how easy it is to disconnect . Push the hose toward the fitting , then push the quick release away from the fitting {you may have to rotate the sleeve portion} and allow the hose to slide away from the fitting .
  2. Oh , and I'm not sure if they work , but I have some tube testers .
  3. I have a lot of things my Dad had . amprobe , Simpson 260 , wiggie (?) , things I can't remember . I acquired one of the first simpson DVOMs 6 or 7 fluke 80 series meters ( 2 don't work & I can't bring myself to send them off ) and lots of other stuff .

  5. If I'm right the OEM caps have a 5k resistor built in .
  6. And the extra blade will do nothing , because there is no terminal in the other positions , You could run 5 pin relays in all positions and be happy .
  7. I can NOT understand why there would be 120 different relays that would be in one package ? Make one 4 terminal and one 5 terminal relay w/the highest A rating and be done with it !

  9. the first character of any VIN indicates the country of origin . You can Google any website and they will break down the entire VIN for an explanation .

  12. I installed my "starter relay" into the starter solenoid signal wire . The solenoid wire to terminal 86 . Ground wire to terminal 85 . B + from the starter solenoid battery terminal (battery cable) to 30 and then attach the start solenoid wire to the remaining wire on the starter solenoid and to terminal 87 . This takes ALL the current required to operate the solenoid and run it through the relay . Yes , this is a good cure and a good preventive measure . P.S. this has cured a lot of "no-start" conditions . If you want to test this to see if it is the problem , try to start your bike , if it does nothing , pull the wire off the solenoid and use a test light to see if the light comes on when you try the start button . If it lights up , get busy .
  13. I had to post it somewhere ! I just finished the Sept 2021 issue of Air & Space Smithsonian . It took about 28 days to read from cover to cover probably the greatest issue of all time . It is a complete personal account / experience from people who have been off the ground . It took a month to read because of research to each aircraft , the writers , places , etc....... There use to be guys that would come out to the shop and hang out and Fly off carrier decks , discuss the pros & cons of each aircraft repair all planes , electronic equipment w/o leaving the shop . Fromm WW 11 to Korea . Those were good times & I miss them

  15. If you own a Rubik's Cube , you are halfway there , If you own a Rubik's Cube , tore off the stickers and moved them around , a little closer . If you bought books , learned all the combinations , then finally "got it" , you are ready . If you are still able to work it , good for you . Now go gas up n go ! p.s. this is not a Japanese bike and never will be , That is what the V-Strom is for .

  17. BTW , this kid owned two other H-Ds too . Did I mention he installed , maybe 18 tires in the first 24 months of ownership ? The front tire was barely used . He rode it like it was stolen !
  18. If you had ridden one ,you WOULD have a different opinion . I rode a White Lightning about 5 miles about a year after my buddy purchased it . I stopped it , shut it off , got off and looked at the engine at least 5 times to make sure it DID have a V-twin engine that looked like a H-D engine . YES , it did . Did it start , idle and run like a H-D ? NO . Did it take care of business . YEAH ! The reason Buell tanked . Harley owners wouldn't buy something that didn't run like a H-D .
