Nah , the one with the sunlight gleaming from the bumper.......... Ahhh , one in a million .

IF this relay is the start relay that operates the starting motor , this 5 pin relay uses 5 wires and acts as a load shedding relay that feeds the headlight relay control OR the starting motor solenoid . It serves one purpose at a time . All other relays use four wires and each relay serves one purpose only . Again , has anything been modified , changed or added to on this bike in the last 6 months ?
-
Which one of the large relays are you removing to stop the engine ? We will call the first relay from the front of the bike # 1 and the next one # 2 and so on........ I reread your original post to verify this is exactly what is happening . Have you or anyone installed , modified or replaced anything on this bike ? How long has this been going on ?
-
Are you able to kill the engine with the stop button on the bars ?
-
Did it get this way or has it been modified ? If you want it to work , buy a new switch and install it .
-
Docc , that is a perfect pic . Perfect .

Noooooo . That was ONE helluva get off !

Thank you for your input . I am referring to open/closed loop throughout the industry concerning computer controlled engine management . Not MG .

You need to pinch the rear brake hose when you are monkeying around with the pork chops ( I still don't know what I was up to ) and take off down the road . Yeehaaa ! You get two results , no rear brake n then rear brakes that won't release .......

Cosmo , the traditional computer controlled fuel/ignition systems have two categories of operation . 1 open loop . the computer runs the system in a fixed parameter according to "some" inputs and a designed program of operation . 2 closed loop . this is when a computer system reaches a target through coolant or engine temperature to begin making decisions on ignition timing , fuel (amount)delivery , etc..... 3 closed loop on your vehicle equipped with oxygen sensors . When a vehicle reaches operating temperature where the oxygen sensor(s) can start being the final authority on what has taken place in the combustion process .

Sorry . Out of production ?

I do know this much , we all need a blown up wiring diagram next to us while we are on this forum .

Is that a S/D oil pan ?
-
Keep the VStrom . The object is to keep them , not get rid of them .
-
Hey , diesel oils for diesel engines and gas oils for gas engines . All that stuff on the top of that can (when they were cans) means something . I m looking at oils made from natural gas just "for entertainment purposes only" .

I found out about this man about 9 mos. ago while I was in CD warehouse at Cape Girardeau . Playing through the speakers was what sounded like a garage band playing Shake Your Moneymaker . As crummy as the recording was , I purchased the copy from the store and listened to this racket EVER since. Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac at the Marquee Club . Unfortunately , he passed away July 25 of this year . His music ( and I have worn YouTube out ) is/was/will always be some of the best ever recorded . I am sorry I did not post a video , but I can't find one good enough to post w/out deciding "this one is better" . RIP , Peter Green .

I am going to advertise ......... FYI , If you have carpal tunnel problems , a chiro can fix it if it is not too far gone . If you have the surgery , you will be "fixed" but you not be able to pick up the carton of milk either .
-
14 ? Did they make a show about you starring Lee Majors ?
-
Was this a good strange or a bad strange ?
-
Dissected aortas , detached retinas , cartilage gone ............ Every man has his Kryptonite . Last year I dropped my V-Strom under the carport . after 4 attempts to get it up , one of my neighbors picked it up like it was a bicycle . 4 chiro visits later , I know better !
-
Buddy , I hope you find a way to change your mind
-
Mmmm . my Greenie does this and as soon as I get it fixed I will let you know ! At 30 mph or so , in town it is pathetic . Under acceleration , highway speed or anything else : PERFECT

I bought a Timesert thread repair kit for 5.4 Ford trucks that blow out spark plugs . $$$$$ It is a bulletproof kit . GM approves Timesert for Cadillac ( the worst junk rolling ) head bolt repairs . Fastenal sells a repair kit too . The 6mm kit is a plug that uses a 1/4 20 tap to install . BTW , I am the king of twisting off , stripping / crossing / boogering up threads .
-
You're never done w/a Mustang ..........
-
Timesert is a plug , and Helicoil is a spiral thread kit and looks like a spring . Are you sure the screws are not too long ? There is nothing soft about the cylinder head threads . People install the wrong length screws and trouble happens or try to torque these screws to 25 ft.lbs. . Please treat these like Phillips head screws when you tighten them .
