P.S. for a shop this size , get a Bose WaveRadio / CD player . If you've heard one ; nuff said . -
And it still isn't

Unless you are getting air at Cadwell Park or built like Rick Sieman , leave it alone . It will serve no purpose . BTW it is on the shock rod and is a job to get to .

Pegboards painted light color and hang everything on the walls. Good LED lighting , a good worktable and get a good used upper/lower toolbox . You can buy used SnapOn , Cornwell etc. Someone is trading up all the time . You will save $$$ buying good stuff the first time . Same with tools . Shop around for used deals..... Shop around for a used bike shop stand . You are going to enjoy working at waist level instead of laying on the shop floor . -
Mmmm . I put a new o-ring along w/black silicone sealant on it last week thinking it was the problem . Check on it Sat. and it was still weeping . Gonna check on another one & replace . Gonna massage on the front fuel tank pucks to fix fuel tank expansion . BTW , the Permatex stuff is good . I have 5 containers all over the shop . P.S. don't use it to seal pipe threads on water lines UNLESS it sets up for 24 hours . I KNOW .

While we're around the fuel tank , my black frame is leaking at the low fuel level sensor . I replaced the o-ring and it is still leaking . UGHH . Can the sensor itself leak fuel ?
-
Is it the one that goes from the crankcase to the bottom of the upper frame ?
-
Please explain the sharpie thing . I think i know , just making sure . If it was like my little brother's club house , the first to pass out got the treatment . shaved head , eyebrows , whatever . Sharpie clown faces . marked up stuff everywhere on the body . It was understood going in , the winner got it all .

Let me throw this in . I do have a two tank system on the black frame . with the red tank (NEW) having only non-ethanol fuel only used . The tank still was a JOB to remove / install with paint rubbed off in places I didn't like . I am going to say mods to the front tank pucks are the only way to go w/o aluminum .
-
Sounds good . Was the rubber soft ?
-
Eureka ! After removing the tank on the black frame to repair the low fuel level sensor leak . I had a monster of a time getting it back on . NEVER again . The next time I am going to get two new pucks (just in case something goes wrong) and mill the diameter (on the old ones) down 1/4" at a time until the tank slips on easily . This should fix everything .
-
I doubt that pic was taken in the last six weeks . I've been in Lawrenceburg working and it was no short sleeve weather .
-
I am sure you can get the first three w/o much trouble ...............
-
I must be doin' somethin' wrong . Once I get rolling , I don't use the clutch until I come to a stop
-
HMMMM . You say the tank is new ? Did it look "boogered up" when you got it ? I suppose it has only the gas you installed in it when you put it on , this will make repairs easier. What about the old tank ?
-
I wonder if Acerbis has any info/advice on repairs to these tanks ?

My work vehicle ( 86 Suburban ) had a milk crate full of these for Il , Mo , Ky , Tn . & other states This was before I accepted the fact GPS was a beneficial tool . I used to be able to cross a county on back roads by dead reckoning . I have been able to invoke Daniel Boone " I can't say I was ever lost out in the wilderness , but I was once bewildered for about three days" when needed !

Hey brother , I see you got that aluminum plate between the oil pan & block ! Good luck .

Mmmm , you may be able to go to a tradition (as in old) auto parts store and have them find you something .
