  1. You CAN post more than one pic ..... How much did the mod cost ?
  2. Don't be too sad , certain Ducatis , when the sidestand breaks off , the engine case is destroyed . Leaving you with a very beautiful red bike that will cost twice it's value to repair .
  3. That's a Full House on the + terminal !
  4. That sounds like a PROMISE ?
  5. Your angle drive has been removed ? I didn't see that !
  6. I would get a GOOD tubing bender and see what I could do .
  7. A buddy of mine is a rep for them & I was just making conversation . The price .... not cheap . We all are looking for any angle for MORE anything .
  8. Gettin' back to Leon Russell ...... He was out there !
  9. I had no idea you could sell broken parts for this much $$$$ ?
  10. I got a custom throttle cable from Barnett's a few months ago . All they need is a little discussion , application and your old cable . Give 'em a try !
  11. It's all about going fast , not stopping fast .
  12. Buddy , the sensor gets it's signal from the ring on the c/shaft . Decide for yourself . I have never checked to see how many notches there are to signal / when to fire . I would suspect this is a wasted spark system where it fires every crankshaft revolution . Well , I will have to back up . It looks like the sensor is getting it's signal from the cam .

  14. No start . What is the bike not doing ? Fuel pump , does it come on when you turn ign. switch on ? Yes = proceed No = find out why not . check for proper V and relay operation. # 1 the "what's it called " sensor . Is it producing a signal during cranking ? # 2 is there injector pulse during cranking ? # 3 is there spark during cranking ? Do all tests w/plugs out and spark plug leads grounded . # 1 you will need a noid light , DVOM and know how to use them . Take your meter and check continuity of the wiring and sensor .Hmmmm . 3-5k ohms I think (guessin') should be good . Check for a signal during cranking at the unplugged connection of the "what's it called" sensor . VERIFY you are doing this correctly . Signal = good sensor . No signal = replace sensor and index for correct air gap . THIS sensor has to work before anything works . # 2 Use a noid light to verify both connectors are producing injector pulses . Pulse = the injectors are being triggered . No pulse = injectors are not being triggered . Keep on testin' ! Make sure what all isn't working before deciding what isn't working . # 3 spark at both spark plug wires . Spark= look at spark plugs , fuel quality and pressure . No spark = the injectors / coils are triggered from the crank sensor . Do not throw parts or jump around diagnosing " no-start " conditions .
  15. Has anyone on this site heard of Brisk spark plugs ? I was talking to someone @ the NAPA store yesterday and he was telling me about these plugs from the Czech Republic that are supposed to be SUPERIOR . I'm going to search the history , etc. He said they are OEM for Lamborghini ? Not too bad .
  16. These roller bearings have just enough grease to not rust on the shelf . The 303SS bearing has a steel seal and this can't be done . Any other 303 bearings with fibre or rubber seals can be easily filled w/grease . Buy one and look at it . The swingarm is not easily repaired . I would rather do this than another swingarm R & R . On wheel bearings I would add a small amount of grease to them to add to the lifespan . If you're in the chips , you can install ceramic bearings !
  17. Not as much as you think .
  18. When you install the new bearings , remove the dust seal . Pack the bearing completely with wheel bearing grease ,install the dust seal . Install the bearing with the disturbed dust seal inside of the swingarm . This bearing will not move 5 -10 degrees so the grease will only help .
  19. IF the factory wires are solid core , you can get the wire anywhere and get a resistor end cap . Maybe 5k ohm ?
  20. And Lawson has great stuff too .
  21. Yes , Cat has metric stuff too . Fastenal depends on the area . The Paducah store is almost mail order and The one in Calvert City is incredible . You can't get your sentence finished before a salesman says "how many ?" The pic of the stretched bolt reminds me of Suzuki fasteners of the late 70s-early 80s. Terrible ! I keep new stuff , I keep old stuff of everything I tear down . Last week I took to the scrap yard a 55 gallon drum of SAE stuff , carriage head & what-not of standard stuff. I think I have a hoarding complex for metric (and just about everything) stuff ?
  22. If there is a Caterpillar dealership near , get fasteners from them . I have been told , they manufacture them and say CAT on the bolt head . Also Lawson is an excellent vendor .
  23. If you want good fasteners , go to Fastenal . If you go to an automotive parts store , you follow them to the bin and look to see if it is a good brand before you use it . This Chinese s++t is taking over and I DON'T like it one f'ing bit . What's bad is , the Fastenal stuff is Chinese too .
  24. IF you own a used bike , the valve cover gaskets may be wrong or improperly installed . Do a proper valve adjustment and use the proper gaskets or a good substitute . I used a Loctite ( can't remember the part # 515 maybe ) anaerobic gasket maker on mine . Didn't have gaskets at the time .
  25. I am sorry you are selling . Good luck & please hang around the forum !
