Yes its still a clarinet with a built in sock but really I think this has become a class half full kind of discussion. I know the lenght ,diameter and taper are all governed by the tuning characteristics your after so why can't an internal baffle be taken into account in the design parameters. and incidently my baffle seems to make very little differance so I'm gonna have to agree to disagree
-
At first I thought that sounds like a lion or tiger snarling but then, what a beautiful sound
-
Now thats interesting that means the muffler picture I posted of my ducati has a simple perforated tube as the baffle, nothing else unless I decide to rap it to make it quieter, however I can remove that in a matter of minutes then it would be a megaphone with a reverse cone on the end. I still fail to see how placing the baffle inside would suddenly make it an untrue rcm(I'm not trying to be a smart ass I'm just trying to understand your logic)after all this reverse cone on the end is all there is.
-
Those cobra pipes are plain ugly and although you can't see inside the muffler the rotax pipe it is a very loose interpretation of a rcm try these http://www.giannelli.com/eng/prodotti/lin.asp?id=143 http://www.staintune.com.au/exhausts/ducat...00_DU_MS_GT.htm http://www.staintune.com.au/exhausts/trium...everse_Cone.htm http://ijms.nova.edu/March2005/Ward0305j.jpg http://www.vikingexhaust.com/utils/uploads.../SIL-2015-2.jpg these are a true/ traditional rcm with the gianelli more modern. straight megaphones may give the most power and noise but this does't always make the fastest bike

The Secret Life of Bikers -- WINTER HIBERNATION
gavo replied to a topic in Special place for banter and conversation
makes me glad I can ride all year round -
The exit hole is exactly the same diameter as the inlet on this pipe and I 've have had it apart. Can u post a diagram of your "true" reverse cone meg as the twenty or so pictures I've just looked at of race bike reverse cones all have an outlet the same or slightly larger than the inlet and I still see fail to see how u can fit a baffle after the reverse cone when said cone is at the end, why would u fit a RC inside the exhaust and the a baffle after to quieten it,its like putting the horse before the cart
-
I would have to disagree, in fact the RCM I posted the picture of is incredibly loud without the reverse cone on the end but with the cone fitted I can run on the street without internal baffles or packing and its not overly offensive. The only reverse cone on that exhaust is at the end so placing the baffle after it would beeeeeeee?

brilliant, but i have 2 wonder how many square wheels he's got in the shed
-
I also understand your pain I also have trouble hitting false neutrals when downshifting even though I shift slowly and methodically(pain in the ass)just haven't had time to try ajustment
-
DAMN my bike must have the only sensor made that works properly in temps from 40c to -5c no hiccups ,no stalling and good mileage, 11500ks without a prob luigi must have had a good day
-
Yes what red is that, although I'm not crazy about the wheels if you like it thats all that counts

Bleeding is pointless unless there's air in the line. the only way air could be in the line is, there is a leaking seal which has allowed air in and fluid out(look for wet spot),low fluid level in master cylinder reservoir or the system has been disassembled and not bled properly. If none of the above I would look at the simple stuff first. Ajustment, both cylinders firmly in place, soft spot in the hydraulic hose, the internals, throwout mechanisim for cracks or wear or just clutch plate wear. good luck

A fleeing Al-Qaeda guerilla, desperate for water, was plodding through the desert when he saw something far off in the distance. Hoping to find water, he walked toward the object, only to find a little old Jewish man at a small stand selling neckties. The Jewish man said, "I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie? They are only $5." The Arab shouted, "Jewish dog! Israel should not exist! I do not need an overpriced tie. I need water! I should kill you, but I must find water first." "OK," said the old Jew, "it does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie and that you hate me. I will show you that I am bigger than that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a lovely restaurant. It has all the water you need. Shalom." Muttering, the Arab staggered away over the hill. Several hours later he staggered back, near collapse. "Your brother won't let me in without a tie."

The Monza should be the counter option to the Griso, for those that want less of a pimp bike. The Monza should have the styling quality that made the V1100Sport and V11Sport and MGS01 such desirable bikes, unlike the Breva (sorry Breva fans.) whatsa pimp bike?

The 2nd 2009 quiz! *

yes the tank reminds me of a bultaco -
As an apprentice I fitted hundreds of tyres with no more than than irons ,a rubber mallet and a bit of soapy water as tyre fitting machines were not that common, all on the floor. Tell me when u get a flat on a dirt bike out in the middle of nowhere do u pull your trusty sawhorses out of your back pack to remove the tyre, I think not. Perhaps you avoid the floor because when u bend over your big head causes u to lose balance
-
It would be best to remove disc as it will move about less on the floor not to mention potential of damageing the disc, but why bother for a few dollars the pro's will do it and their flash machine won't scratch your rim if he knows what he's doing

Hi and welcome, there's a rosso mandello on the back page of the current "motorcycle trader", 20,000ks at $10k, it depends which state your in but I bought mine in melb and I live in Qld. If u buy inter state negotiate a landed price it saves the hassle, gavin

Ah whisky, Tullamore dew is an irish whisky I enjoy and Glen Morange from scotland, I find bourban too sweet but don't mind Canadian Club. I once shared a unit with a whisky drinking friend and we made it a mission to try as many brands as possible from surrounding outlets and found the high end product wasn't always the nicest

Speed cameras (UK only)
gavo replied to John in Leeds's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
If you can get done for 1mph over after 10 times does noone allow for speedo error ( I believe makers are allowed a 3% tolerance in oz) otherwise you'd be booked when you think your on the limit holy revenue raiser batman. But there are better places yet the Gov here has talked about fitting transponders to vehicles (tamper proof and heavy fines for doing so) this way you can be tracked and incur speeding fines and have them posted to you without having to lift a finger
