I would also recomend getting the parts manual as it can help when it comes to ordering parts over the phone and also useful to see how parts fit together which the workshop manual is not so good at. If you click on the TLM banner at the top of the home page or here http://www.tlm.nl/ then click On Line Shop on the left hand menu it will open the shop page where on the top right hand side you can download the parts manual for free.

Well done for keeping the bike it will make a great sunny day ride. As far as things like pads and filters go I would not see to much of a problem for a long while. Just fitted new rear pads to my girlfriends Ducati Monster 620 which are the same as the V11. The front pads are also the same. You will find quite a few Aprilia fitted with the same pads as well. I would imagine most bike workshops with good mechanics can work on a Guzzi. The're not cutting edge after all Download the workshop manual to your pc then print it out and keep it in a ring binder. That's what I did and it's been a big help in doing stuff on the bike myself

Just fitted the Edge guards to my Mandello. Real easy to do with the superb intruction sheets that 'Edge' provides. The bike looks less cluttered now I don't have the hugger fitted. Highly recommended and a great guy to deal with. Cheers Edge

Great looking pics Orson, It inspired to go and do a search on the tinternet for more info on the area and found your post from a few years ago. I've pasted the link here so others can see more of the photographs you took. Have to hope we have a nice summer this year so I can head out there. http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=410 -
Hi and welcome to the forum. Don't know how bad you knee and ankle injuries are but if they start to ache when the're bent for too long then I would say the V11 might not be to good for you. The foot rest possition can feel a bit cramped at times. I would of thought the Multistrada would be more comfortable for you as it's a more upright riding possition. Although I think it's a bike that only it's mother can love the looks of Sorry that i'm way too far away to let you try mine.

two places that I've seen have the small scissor jack at the mo,. Think I remember seeing one in the Machine Mart catalogue as well. http://www.worldofpower.co.uk/Motorcycle-A...1342/p7933.aspx http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Centre-Stand-Scissor...A1%7C240%3A1318

I use a Micron paddock stand for getting the rear end off the floor and used two scissor jacks under the bar between the 'pork chops' to support the bike when I removed the rear wheel, swing arm and drive shaft though next time I'll get one of these stands as they seem much more stable.

missing clutch fluid reservoir cap
stockport claret replied to rideblue1's topic in Technical Topics
Just been and measured mine and it's a 35mm thread cap. I you are near an Aprilia dealer then they should be able to get them. The Tuono looks like it has the same size reservoirs as the Guzzi. -
bargain bike

It's at Moto Strada in Shipley. I think they have had in their showroom for nearly a year. Bit steep on the price though. -
Hi Dave, when are you wanting deposits for the rooms Trevor

Well done on getting such a great looking bike for your first Guzzi

Got the same mirrors fitted to my Mandello. I'd seen them on a 1200 sport and as they were around £12 each thought they would be worth a go as my stock mirrors were no good at all. I would recommend them to anyone. You can see a bit more to each side but the fact that they don't vibrate is such a plus. I never knew what was behind me in the stock ones but now clarity. They seem to be a stock mirror across quite a few manufacturers so even if you've not got a Guzzi dealer near you someone else will most likely stock them.

just had a quick look at Irish Ferries Holyhead to Dublin coming out at between £44 - £54 one way

If you changed the pipes/mufflers and kept the stock cross over then you fueling should not need adjusting I would think. Changing the mufflers only will just change the way the exhaust note sounds. If you changed the stock cross over for a free flowing one( not sure as you say 'pipes') as well as the mufflers then you would probably have to have the fueling adjusted as well. The way to tell would be to go for a ride and listen to how the engine sounds when it's under load. A big for doing your valves, as it's something i've not summed up the courage to do yet.

Planning on coming over earlier I hope as I have the whole week off before the bank hol weekend. Thinking of going into Southern Ireland first for a few days then either arrive Thursday or Friday. Well that's the plan so far

Just been looking through there web site and it says they will do one off exhaust systems. I'd give them a bell as they may be up for doing a one off cross-over to go with their silencers. I'm thinking of asking the same questions to Beowulf Exhausts and others when I go to the NEC bike show. Can't think it would be that difficult for them to make a cross-over up but they would most likely need they bike so they can do some measurements. I contacted Mistral about a month ago and their cross-over is 200 euro + 20 Euro postage. Good luck with whatever you get and don't forget to post some pics

I use Sidi Vertigo , lots of protection and really comfortable on or off the bike. The only thing they are not is waterproof so i will be looking at the Goretex version soon. I find that the adjusting system they have means they fit over my calves, unlike just the standard zip and velcro found on most other boots.

Same here. Only other thing I had to do was push the cup arms appart abit more as they were too narrow as standard.
