170 is also perfect on 5.5 RIM A 190 or 200 is not usefull and you lost a lot of handling. Look at the duc 996-998 ... All the guys put a 180 after killing the 190 that is on brand new bike. Think about the Daytona which is perfect with the 160 no need of 180. Even with a liberated one with more than 100 HP like mine. For the "zebulon" aka super 4 i fit a 5.5 rim only because the oz wheels was available in 5.5 . But with the big bore engine i think this is better to find super soft tires, that are really more easy to find in 180

i use it on my proto too, moto spezial one, and the last release also have little "window" to check oil level.

Tires feeling is something so specific to each one. I have tryed Michelin btu don't like it. they are not progressive when start to slide (to my opinion) I have tryed Dunlop but they are too large on the "Zebulon" aka Super 4. I just find incredible the Pirelli EVO Super Corsa & have bought a set of Diablo Corsa but not really habe the time to improve weather is too bad here & not the bike as the rear shock off . The Metzeler Sportec M 1 are the same as Evo Super Corsa. On my daytona rs i put diablo and they perfectly fit too with a heavier bike. By the way there are also some 1100 sport carbs build in 1996 that are strictly equiped like the 1100 sport Injection so white power fork brembo wheels.
-
on daytona rs there is no plate like this (it was only on the first daytonas) for the sport carbs/injection i don't remember. the frame as 2 little plates weld on it and the gearbox use this plates to be fix on the frame.

No, in fact in my town they are making a lot of work in order to put a new railway so there are big holes on the avenues ! I didn't see one of them, the time i realise it was a hole i just have time to put some power so i can pass front wheel without troubles but the rear one don't like the way it goes hurting the bottom ! I stop as i can without falling but with a rear wheel / tire loosing pressure. So must replace rear wheel & tire. But as there was no sinal for this hole , the city insurrance's will take the price of wheel & tire to their count.

It does ! Incredible but for my wife the most comfortable bike i have owned was my Ducati 888 SP5 (the position was awfull but front & rear ohlins was incredible of softness) When money 'll be better i 'll put front & rear ohlins on my Daytona too ( after i have replace the rear wheel i just broke a week ago ) .

Goran do you have receive & try as turn signals - is this working ?
-
Actualy working on the subject In fact my exhaust is actually an empty box with only one way out, really bad for gaz flow, so i m about to modify the inside of the exhaust. It ll be an inisde like Paul 's one or Dynotec Guzzila one.
-
Yes this is my bike, like Paul, a 2 year project. Our 2 bikes are unique prototypes. To see and hear Static Video (11.2 Mo) The exhaust is about to be modify for a 2 in 2 instead of 2 in 1 The website : http://supertwin.org/

i have replace Paioli by an Ohlins superbike and the Paioli found a new v11 home.

i run with DRAGON SUPER CORSA on my super 4 , just perfect they are still perfect after 1400 km (but riding not too strong as i made the runnin in). Front supercorsa "normal" rear "SC 3" (sc1 is softer, sc 2 medium ...) Now temperature is around 4-6 ° celsius but never mind, they go in temperature in few kilometers and you can run strong pressure : on the road front 2.1 rear 2.3 I have now 'pre' order for next summer a Diablo Corsa set

By the way the quality of furia exhaust is really bad. Not talking about the tubing (wich are not really good neither) but the "muffler". Really bad construct exhaust. Mine already cracked , i send it to g&b for repairing and they send me back the same one with some bad llonking welding & a big plate of reinforcement where it cracked

Some little informations about the Ghezzi&Brian pro-thunder for who knows this bike "The G&B racing team have finished the work on the exhaust and are going to start some flow work on a new set of heads. They have an individual who works on Indy car engines, and he believes he can get 155 hp at the rear tire, and have reliability for racing. They currently are getting 140 hp rear tire, and 102 ft. lbs of torque. They are hoping that Moto Guzzi comes to Daytona next year so that they can race against them. They are also looking at doing some suspension work in order to change the rising ratio of the rear shock, I will keep you informed of the results of this testing." ### i don't know if they could reach the 155 HP but it's incredible to have a guzzi with a real 140 HP at the rear

If you could buy one you 'll have no regrets, mine is a prototype but it is absolutely unbelievable. Made 300 km today wtih a lot of fun My 1225 engine just fabulous of torque

Do you finaly sold the v11 or not Rich ?
-
i m searching for some special turn signal that could fit the front of my "bitza". Searching something like a little bar of diod or something like this ? Any idea ??
-
This is not bad compare to the sport / daytona one ! I find the v11 is much better for night drive than my SuperTwin. By the way, trying to replace the complete guzzi light from my daytona rs by a BMW C1 front light. Will tell you how it works.
-
Anyone use the moto spezial hydraulic clutch system on his bike (so other than v11 ) ? hydraulic clutch for every guzzi before v11 I would like to know what kind/diameter of mastercylinder they use with ? Sorry as i don't speak german i don't understand what they wrote on their website. I put a radial brembo 15 from Ducati 999 but it is really to strong to ride a long time.
-
This poor guy not alone. One of my friend had nearly the same trouble with his scura 02. The clutch brake and damage the gearbox casing but not the engine. By chance he was riding slowly & don't hurt. Guzzi replace complete gearbox + clutch . To my knowledge Guzzi has now stopped to put some single disk clutch on the special / limited editions. By the way he also have since the first days with his scura : 1 time gearbox leaking , 2 times gearbox spring broken , 1 time rear join crankcase leaking so a new clutch , 1 time clutc brake so new gearbox , clutch ... another time gearbox spring broken with new gearbox , that's all now :-(( He bought a Le Mans III after this and Guzzi make him an offer to replace the bike by a new one for a reasonable price

About mileage with tires , on my daytona a Pirello EVO front (corsa) & rear are dead about 3000 km with hard drive , my combination for long ride is front pirelli evo & rear Pirelli Dragon GTS. I m actually trying the Diablo on the bike and that's true this change the feeling of bike handling. About steering damper, with Daytona it appends to be usefull (i'm living in French Alps and there is a lot of beautifull roads but not always with a good shape) With the Ghezzi&Brian SuperTwin it is usefull when riding strong on small roads because the bike such lighter with a real small wheel base (only 1400 regarding daytona / v11 1475 mm) . This is also due to the small front tires 120/60 17 On the supertwin i m going to put the brand new Diablo corsa soon.

The production of engine with PI have been stopped during several month. This can affect PI engine since first of them. This trouble of cam have been solved since few , they were several problems. i have somewhere all the reasons of cam trouble, i could search for it , if you want. First troubles have been known in France at least since start of last winter on the Calif PI.

Really like this PVM wheels But really hard for the money It could be great for my Daytona I steel hope than one day Paul could make a rear for me like on his & huite's bike. Also searching a Ohlins fork with radial brakes for it. On my superbike fork i have try the ducati axle but it was a little too short for this kind fork so this is now a "hand made" axle. Also hand made spacers to fit with this fork. For the bearings i not have change anything By the way Paul : i 'll be at Dynotec shop during week 41 (6-10 october) I 'll tell you more when i know which days.

i have finish with the wire loop , the ignition works, every things seems to be ok. The cockpit From front

As paul already told this came form Moto-Spezial. This is a special one aslo including my ignition. This part replace my old 1.6 M ignition. I won a lot of place on the bike because last year i put the 16M under the rear seat, it was visible so i search a way to remove it & this tach/sppedo was the only solution i found. But in order to be mounted this ignition need a complete new wireloop. This a "self learning" ignition which use one lamba by cylinder in order to do the mixture best as possible. Still not really try it. I m actually working hard on the bike, hope it will ride for the next week. Some new shots will be available this WE.
