Now the Fork complete brackets: complete : front :

I was talking about the brakes bracket so a little picture of what the guy made for me Here And by the way the special triple clamp made for the 58 mm diameter of the ohlins superbike fork One , Two & Three Fork will be back on the frame this tuesday

Unfortunately not ! One of my best friend got a brand new rosso corsa . Since december he made 18 000 km in real bu only 2500 on the tacho due to 4 cable breakage. Still waitin for the last one This even while taking care of making the routage the best as possible !

This is not on my bike but a very good friend of mine, i would like to sold one of mine and put a ohlins instead, that's all In fact after 45 000 km the WP is dead, leaking so slowly that it was not really visible and completly empty from oil ! Surprising regarding some others i know with 90 000 km on a daytona rs or a centauro without any troubles. I m thinking about ohlins that have a separate hydraulic preload adjuster. so much more easier to adjust than removing all the rear to modify it on the WP.

Hy ther does anyone already replace the WP rear shock of a Daytona RS by Ohlins one ? What reference did you put in this case ? Nothing about this on the Ohlins website !
-
I can tell now if there is a big difference between R&T and the superbike one. But the thing i could tell is that all parts for such fork are really more expensive. The best way is to find a guy that could do the parts for you. Even hand made it is cheaper ! My front axle cost me 80 EUR made by the same guy that already done my triple clamps and It fits perfectly . The same for the brakes brackets, standard Ohlins for 40 mm brembo costs 180 EUR each it cost me 200 EUR the both with some modificitations to fit my front mudguard perfectly Thanks for my daughter, just amazing to start a daddy's life

What i could told about Ohlins wheel axle On the Ducati this is exactely the same wheel axle for standard fork (showa) and ohlins one & it got a hollow. The are really not hard for the money. Cost around 50 EUR in a Ducati shop. NEVER buy a SuperBike Fork or don't buy the Olhins wheel axle, this is robbery (500 EUR for the axle alone and you need some more parts to fix it). Happy as i never be before in my life as i'm a daddy since one day

A friend got on his bike. The sound is really deep but really noisy It is really more than my RS with the complete Akrapovic exhaust. The way it is made is not really fine.

So where are the shots Al

it is always the same with , you have 25 % to receive parts in 2 weeks and a little 75 % to wait at least 3 or 4 weeks. Even in France which is pretty near from Guzzi Factory. The V11 Rosso Corsa of a friend just brake down the gearbox (surely the gearboxspring ) so it is still breaking despite of what guzzi says and he must wait till september to get it back ... I know a lot of people who have troubles with this damned 6 gearbox set !!! So just keep the 5 gearbox set of the daytona Hope you 'll not have too much trouble with your big bore engine Paul ! We could be really anxious about how the MGS gearbox Waranty is over & i have the chance to have the French specialist of Guzzi parts 35 km from home. So i never buy from a dealer and go to this shop were delivery times as so much better and priceless.

If you have any trouble try this link http://daytonasite.free.fr/monproto/Englis...002/index2.html Now the 2003 release of the bike is on his way. Some delays due to fu^*$รน guys which have stolen some parts above all must rebuilds the unique triple clamp & specials parts for brakes. Need new triple clamp due to Ohlins Superbike whch have 58 mm diameters. The 2003 release will be more beautifull (that is possible) , more efficient (Ohlins all around also for steering damper) , more powerfull (1225 engine) . And still UNIQUE & this is my bike Hope to ride in 2 or 3 weeks depending on when my daughter will born in few days

To complete those old posts. If you have a look on my bike you will that i use the Furia Exhause As it says here, the v11 mod is really different from the furia one . In order to use a furia exhause on the supertwin you must use the Furia Frame ... The tubing are special one's different of guzzi tubing. About the sound , it quite special on my bike. Really metallic, far from the sound of my Daytona. Not bad, not to noisy but different.

As Paul mention it, In france i only saw Sachs since 2000 models excepting Ohlins on specials. Never see again WP on a V11. By the way, i found that WP fork (daytona/centauro/sporti) was really better than the marzocchi one V11.

One of my best friends as now real 16 000 km but only 2000 km at the tacho on his Rosso Corsa of december. 3 cables down at this moment and a bike speedo on the fairing. Depending of the "2003" mod. The 2003 mod have the new black tacho. But on the late models as the rosso corsa there are no angle drive and the cable is directly trained by the gear box. On the first "2003" , procuded since mid 2002 there is a cable drive on the gear box and it seems to have less troubles. My friend want to try the system with cable drive on the gear box. Wait & see

As i told my special SuperTwin is 199 kg with 4 L oil , full tank (only 15 L). This is a special Ghezzi&Brian modified frame for 4v engine with a 1400 mm wheel base. This frame is the number 2 / 2 produces , the other is the Pro Thunder. With alumimium forged wheel, all the elelctrical for road (light , turn signal etc etc ) Lot of alumium & special parts saving weight and a small exhaust under gear box with save also a lot of weight etc so it depends of what you wanted to do with your bike. For a road use , i think that it will be really hard to go under a real 190 kg with a big block engine For racing this is another question, my guzzi mechanic (with is a friend) got is race guzzi bike with had quite some years as engine basis is a 850 T3 where it put ducati ignition. This bike which have been done between 90-91 only weight 165 kg for a 1060 cm3 engine. This bike as run in the Daytona in 92 (if my memory is good) riding till 258 km/h .

For all the Ducati fork notice that they are 52 mm diameters only so you need a new triple clamp ! It is also the case of the 749/999 forks.
-
Hy there On the G&B SuperTwin the standard fork is a Paioli. From wheel axle to top 735 mm, setting for compression rebound etc etc ... I have tryed a v11 2000 with this fork instead of the Marzocchi one, and the feeling was real different, really better in fact Like on this v11 By the way , my paioli fork is still to sold complete with triple clamp, wheel axle . Mail me if interested. The fork The ohlins Superbike fork is a 730 mm, fork diameters 53 mm. adjustable stroke to made settings easier ... Perfect if i can find the settings

On the last v11 Guzzi told to change Oil every service so every 10 000 km (6200 Miles) but in the facts all the real goods Guzzi mechanics in France says it is better to change it every 5000 km (3100 Miles). For my daytona rs i change it between 4000/5000 km (so less than 3000 Miles)because i use the bike only for making long trip or sport trip The bike only had 40 000 km since 1999 but it rides fine.
-
As for you a "little" 100 kg with the riding stuff (helmet, boots , leather). For my website a new release 'll come soon as the bike is now completly different. New 1225 engine, ohlins superbike fork, modified air intake, new fork, special triple clamp, new ignition system etc etc ... I have the 11 Nm springs but i don't now if they could fit a road & track ohlins fork as the scura or rosso corsa one's. My fork is really different. FG 270 Specs
-
I got for my superbike fork "FG 270" 9.0 Nm , 10 Nm and 11 Nm springs. Standard settings are done with the 10 Nm springs. It seems to be fine with this one but my bike is a little lighter than a Scura (199 kg with oil & gas) I actually trying to find right settings but it is really difficult as they are so many !
