  1. Thanks Pete, I'll call Greg and see if he has any, if not I'll send you an email. Cheers, Raceboy
  2. Thanks Greg, have a look I'll call you Tuesday or Wed. Raceboy
  3. Thanks all who responded. I have come to the conclusion that after getting a Stucci X-over I will get a pair of cans designed for V-twin (Duc. Aprilia, RC51, etc) and fab my own connection pipes...(winter project to be sure). I will post pics and progress once I get going. Raceboy
  4. I'm still not clear for which generation V11 the Sloppage plates Pete Roper has made are for. I have a 2004 V11. 2 more friends have a 2000 or 2001 V11 so I may get 3 of them if they are applicable to either or both bikes into Canada. Where to buy and how much?? Shipping to Canada Cheers Guzzi boy, Raceboy
  5. Anders, the bike looks great. That is what I'm tring to achive. Do you have a website for Dynotec?? Thanks, Raceboy
  6. Good Day all, The V11 I bought had the original seat redone, (more like a touring seat) and the seat cowl was missing. The seat is comfy enough on longer ride and quite accomadating for a passenger, BUT it looks like Shite!!!!!!!!!!!! to me. Therefore I'm interested in using a seat / tail section from a different model Guzzi, maybe a Daytona or something like that to give the bike a more sporty look, actually a solo seat is my prefrence. Anyone have any ideas??? Cheers, Raceboy
  7. Who sells the G&B or Quat -D in North America?? Is there a website to see what they look like...particularly the Quat-D? Raceboy
  8. Hey all, It seems from the response to this thread and from what I've read else where, I might be better off getting a Stucci or Mistral X-over, a pair of Mistral cans (or whatever else is good and works??????????) and then start looking at a new ECU (no PC for ME). I have a few more exhaust questions and if I don't get any replys here I'll start a new thread to get the attention of the masses. 1) Has anyone tried the Ghezzi & Brian under-bike exhuast system? 2) Since I have a 2004 vintage V11 with the front cross over pipe, would it make sense to remove it once I install a Stucci or Mistral X-over? Pros and cons please, any evidence to back it up your assertions. 3) If I remember correctly I have a bung welded on each downpipe on my bike. I wonder if MG was pondering the idea of installing an O2 sensor for each cylinder?? 4) Is anyone or has anyone considered using the an EGT gauge to monitor A/F ratio? I've heard some car guys go this route. Cheers all, Raceboy
  9. Hello V11cafe, Your bike looks great. Thanks for your input. I have a few questions. Do you have the part number for the Factory MG Ti Kit for the 2004 bikes?? Is the ECU that comes with the kit able to be reprogrammed / flashed with a new map or is it similar to the Stock unit....closed?? What cross over did you use??? I plan on using my bike for track days once in a while. Have you taken you bike on the track and how does it work on the track?? Thanks, Raceboy
  10. I'm not to keen on using a PCIII. I'll probably go the route of a new ECU. Has anyone done a back to back testing (dyno pulls) with and without the crossover pipe up front..............on the same bike????????????? Raceboy
  11. Hello All, Does anyone on this site have installed a Moto Guzzi factory Ti Exhaust system that also came with the ECU and new hangers?? Is this a full system from the heads or is it just the cans??? How well does it work?? Is there any other suggestions for race / performance exhuast system?? I see many members use the Stucci or Mistral X-over and what ever cans the like. If I go this road is there any header pipes that can or should be used to work with the X-overs?? Any other Exhaust system (race or otherwise) suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2004 V11 without the O2 sensor. Cheers boys & girls, Raceboy
  12. Hello all, I'm happy to report that the problem has been isolated and quickly fixed. Once I've had a chance to properly look around the bike (tank off, seat off, air box off) Off all things to go wrong the right side throtle body poped out of the intake boot. The bike is running fine once again. While I was at it I removed the charcoal canister, pluged up the vacuum tubes on the side of the throttle bodies, removed a few pieces of plastic here and there and had a general look-see around the bike. I also made myself a quick fix for a lidless air box, seems to work ok. The only complainant I have about the bike is the gas tank is a real pain in the butt to remove and install without a second pair of hands (when tank is full). cheers all, I was quite happy to see the response I recieved when I posted my initial problem on the fourm...I guess it's ture, you meet the nicest people on a Guzzi. John
  13. Hi all, thanks for your suggestions. From what I recall when I did a quick check to see if there was spark (grounded plug against head) the spark seemed a little weak and yellow...not the deep blue spark typically desired. The stock wires and plug cap are Champion and a nice matching red colour. I want to measure the resistance of the cap and wire and check all the connections along the circuit path. I will also check the fuel injector. I'm of the impression that if the injector is sticking that would not be a sudden drop of 1 cylinder, it would be gradual development........I could be wrong. I'm away from the bike until Thurs or Fri when I will get back to checking the problem. I will keep you posted until my redheaded darling is running again. John
  14. Some good ideas to get me going. Possibility of a stuck open injector - good point. What is the best way to check that?? Although I did see spark when I checked, the quality of spark maybe questionable. More investigation is needed. Is there an electrical measurement of the coil (resistance) that would give an indication of a failing coil. Although I see the spark out in the open, it is quite possible that within the confines & pressures of the combustion chamber the spark is to weak to light the mixture. I'll report back in a few days, I have to move the bike to a more suitable place to do work. Keep the ideas and suggestions coming coming. Thanks again, John
  15. The bike is completely stock, no mods of any kind to the motor. John
  16. Newbie Needs Help..... Just picked up a 2004 V11 with 7000 miles, great shape, very clean. I've only ridden the bike for 3 days and Right Cylinder just cut out without any notice at all. It supttered once or twice but that was it. I was afraid to bring up the RPM to see if the Cylinder would fire. Limped it home about 1/2 mile or so. There is spark when grounding the plug against the head. The plug was moist with fuel and sooty. The smell of fuel is strong so I'm assuming the injector is firing when I crank the starter. Checked under the tank and around the motor for any disconnected / loose hoses, lines, electrical connections, all seems to be in place and connected. I'm guessing this is a sensor / electronic part failure somewhere. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Cheers all, John
