  1. Hi, I am looking for a red or black V11 tank with internal fuel pump ... anyone interested in trading your red or black V11 internal fuel pump tank for my gray 04 V11 Ballabio tank - pictures attached. will consider throwing in some cash if tank is right. Please PM me or call 321-276-8571. My name is Arek. I am in San Diego area.
  2. WTB: I am still looking for used bucket headlight and brackets.
  3. Thanks for the cleaning tips. That is what I wanted to know. I did take half of the rubber blocks out and drilled the rest. I am anxious to feel the results. Thanks again. Arek
  4. I took the rear wheel of for a tire change, and decided to do the Cush maintenance while at it. I took it all apart (those f$%#@% button heads) and I was just wondering what to use to clean the rust off the spline on the wheel and on the transmission before greasing it all? There is also some rust on the inside of the cush-drive plate and the outside bearing that it sits on. Any suggestions? Also, should the ring that sits between the flange and the cush-drive plate be dry, or greased? It is now wet from WD40. Thanks. Arek

    lifting rear of V11

me neither. I took them out and gave back at the store. Only option I guess would be to take the inserts out and make larger threads. But, why destroy anything if you can just lift if by the frame?

    lifting rear of V11

thanks! I got it sorted. Regards, Arek
  7. Hi, I want to change the rear tire, and so bought a rear stand. I also bought 6mm spools and replaced the bolts with 5mm bolts. I bolted the spools into the 5mm inserts in the back of the swing arm, where the rear fender screw was - I removed the fender. Now I am concerned if this will hold the weight of the bike ok. There are what seems like inserts in the swing arm, so I am wondering if that is strong enough. Any thoughts? Thanks. Arek
  8. WTB: used crossover-LESS exhaust pipes update: I found what I was looking for
  9. Yeah, it was a warm ride. I have not heard of Manzanita Ranch before, as I am new to SoCal. But I will check it out next time I am on that road.
  10. thanks! I always try to look for that different angle. #3 is my favorite.
  11. this is all road 78, past Julian on the way to Borrego Springs.
  12. more
  13. one more
  14. here is another one
  15. Went on a ride to the desert Sunday, and I took my camera. Here are a couple of shots.
  16. the pinking is gone! valve adjustment and TB sync did it I did not move the TPS at all, as the spark plugs I took out are golden ... well, in color, so mixture and timing seems to be set up properly as is. Also, the Voltage reading at completely closed is 220-230mV, depending if I force the the throttle to close a little, so not 150 as prescribed. I put Iridium NGK plugs, and bike runs very well now. smoother idle, less noise, no pinking, great sound - these plugs did wonders on my car also. Anyway, thank You all for your help! I really appreciate the replies. now I am off for a ride!
  17. I am about to do the procedure, and after going through the your instructions, I have one question - after everything is done, the right throttle idle screw will remain backed off completely? The right throttle will remain in place at idle by the tension on the the synchronization rod. Or should there be an additional step to disconnect the synchronization rod after the desired voltage is set at idle by the left throttle idle screw adjustment, and match the voltage by screwing in the right throttle idle screw? Thanks.
  18. OK, so after some further reading I think I understand what to do - by adjusting the TPS to a higher voltage (Or opening throttle in degrees) it will tell ECU to send more fuel to account for more air. Will this will enriched the mixture all through the rpm range. There was some discussion about linearity, but I don’t follow completely. But even so, if the bike runs well after this, I would be happy. Anyway, the question is how much to open the throttle? Is this know, or a guessing game? I will take a reading from the position that I am now, and increase by? 2, 3 or 4 degrees? Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks for the help, I guess I can get away from buying software for now - but when I do more mods I will.
  19. thanks. how do you richen the tps setting? i have more reading to do ...
  20. Yeah, after more reading I think this is it. I did remove the air box, and installed the pods. Before doing that I read that remapping is not required with just replacing the air box, but the air in SoCal is so warm and dry right now, so it makes sense. I put some octane booster to see if it decreases the pinging. We'll see. So, what is the solution? I want to leave the pods, as I really like the sound and looks - I guess performance has decreased, until I correct it. I am thinking of getting Tuneboy, but I hate that it will set me back another 300. Anyway, Thanks.
  21. Thanks for the replies. I did find a topic like this on the forum, but no clear answer on to what it is. A few guys reported hearing this noise. Also, I do not open throttle in high gears in low rmp - I only did this upon noticing the rattle, and trying to explore it. Besides, I do not ride it hard, and I see no reason I should avoid opening the throttle – kind of takes the fun out of it. I listened to it today on my way to work - did it carefully - and it really sounds like valve noise. Also, it happens - to a lesser extent - when opening the throttle at any rmps and gear, with 1st and 2nd being almost non-exostant. I will look at adjusting the valves asap, as this has not been done on the bike since new. It has 4k miles, but also 5 years. Thanks, Arek
  22. Hi All, I have been enjoying my ne V11 a lot - 04 ballabio with 4k miles, just got it a couple of months ago. but today I noticed, or heard, some strange metallic rattle or knocking when riding from work. it is a loud metallic rattle/knocking, and I hear it when I open the throttle in 3rd or 4th gear, starting at 3k rmp. So, at 3k I open the throttle and I hear this very loud metallic rattle/knocking on the left side I think. It does no happen in lower gears, or idling. I rev up the engine and accelerate hard from stop and I don’t hear it. It only happens in higher gears at low rpms when I open the throttle. It really scared me. I really hope its nothing major. Any thoughts? Advice? Thanks,

I am looking for a rear rack for 04 V11.
  24. Anyone with V11 naked/sport interested in trading your front setup - brackets, lamp, cluster support plate - for my ballabio with a red fairing setup - frame extension, fairing, cluster holder? Let me know.
