Sorry folks I wore out the seach button trying to find this but to no avail. Due to the fabulous fuel available in North America I have a bubbling tank and some seepage around the fuel lines. Anybody know a good product I can use to re-line the inside of the tank? Por-15 is not recommended for fiberglass/plastic tanks,neither is Red Kote. Caswell seems to be usable but is known to flake off if the bond is not 100% Then you get "floaties" clogging up the fuel pump and lines. Any hot tips out there? If the friendly neighbourhood moderator could move this to where it could be seen more readily I would be very happy and thankful. Cheers Marty

Interesting that Docc's link to Denis' thread involves Scotch hmmm... Scotch tastes like Ethanol? Maybe to some folks. I'll just stick with the Caswell and hope for the best. In the meantime my garage smells like it did when I had my old TR3A . Cheers Marty

So for a tank that's showing signs of seeping and bubbling paint it's probably easier (not cheaper I bet) in the long run to replace the tank? Or is there a remedy to seal the damage and prevent any further corrosion? I did have someone recommend stuff called Carswell but that will have to wait until I have time to remove the tank and do a complete flush. Anyone here have any recommendations ? Thanks in advance. Where in Canada are you Lugs? Altitude could be a factor as well. A lot of Alberta and BC as you know is quite elevated. Calgary is 3400 ft above sea level. If you're getting your air mixture adjusted for Saskatchewan that could be a contributing factor. The MG's FI is not exactly "state of the Art" compared to your other bikes (excepting the R100RS ) My MG likes to rev and is happiest above 5 thou.

We have those dividing several freeways in Alberta and quite a few in Montana too. I've see a video that stops large trucks from crossing into oncoming traffic with just 3 strands of braided cable. But for a motorcyclist or a person thrown from a vehicle into that at speed it would be horrific. Please sign it.

Timely topic. I'm about to replace the tires on my ST1300 from the PR2's (got 19,000 kms on the set) to the PR4 GT Mainly because the PR3 seems to have inconsistent wear issues for such a heavy bike,330 kilos wet. My Rosso Corsa has Pirelli's for now but I'd be happy with the regular PR4 as it's so much lighter than the Honda. Cheers Marty

This is very good to know as I just picked up a 2003 Rosso Corsa as well. Not many options in Calgary that I'd care to frequent. Gives me a good reason to ride highway 20...again! Cheers Marty

Then you have to try Bunnahabhain docc, if you can get hold of it. It is quite different from the other Islay whiskies in some ways but worth sampling. Plus 1 for Bunnahabhain. Bought a bottle from the Scotch shop in Gatwick on the way back to Canada. Lovely stuff!

I'm fond of Cardhu and 15 year Dalwhinnie but I do like a few Bourbons too. Buffalo Trace is a current fave. Cheers! Marty

Well made it back from Phoenix. "Rosa" tracks like a dream,well planted and the Brembos work very well! Thanks to a local rancher in Montana testing them for me. I managed about 2100 miles in 5 days. This one's a keeper! Once I get Provincially certified and plated I'll be exploring some old familiar roads. Love this bike!

Update! The folks at Moto International to the rescue! Yahoo! Thanks to Mr. Richardson I have zee papers! I will now be able to ride the RC instead of meerly look at her in my garage. Life is good. Cheers Marty

Help! Anyone in Canada imported a Guzzi ? The Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) has disclaimed my searched recall informational material so I have to start all over again. I rode the bike from Phoenix to Cochrane Alberta (so we have bonded) The bike's in my garage but without the approval of the all mighty, all knowing RIV I can't get it registered/licensed. Although I consider it a work of art I would like to ride too! Anybody direct me to a reliable source? I've emailed the Piaggio Group and both service departments at Moto International and Riders Hill. The bike was originally from Georgia, (dealer no longer there) sold to a guy in San Diego and then sold to a buddy of mine, then to me. cheers Marty

I suppose you should add me to the list as a recent RC owner although I will have to wait until May 2014 to go and fetch her from Arizona (it's killing me to wait that long) but the fly and ride will be worth it ! If I've read the thread correctly I will be the third RC in the Calgary area but the first and only in Cochrane Alberta. Cheers to all Marty

Antonio, Thanx for the heads-up on the Tenni! Being very much a newbie I'm still trying to figure out where to find all the info this forum has. Although the bike in New Mexico is pretty much what I'm looking for (riding position,fairing) Cash wise I won't be there until, hopefully the Spring of 2010. This of course will drive me "crazy" because I've seen a bunch on Ebay and other sources (Coppa Italia,Ballabio, etc) that would be perfect! I'm not willing to give up my '04 Honda ST1300, that's my workhorse. The Guzzi I select will be for Mountain week-end runs into the Pacific North West,a couple of tank fulls and back on a sunny day. I like to lots of kms so Sport/Comfort is what I'm after. Maybe there is no such combo but I'm looking! Cheers Marty

Hi I just signed up. I'm looking to eventually purchase a Guzzi and I thought the best way to get "my feet wet" would be to join a group like this and learn from owners the pros and cons of owning a Guzzi. I'll probably lurk for a while. My time frame for the Guzzi is some time in the next year so there's lots of time to learn first. Cheers Marty
