  1. Hi ace, have you checked nothing loose? are the bar ends original? myself and others have fitted manic salamander bar end weights- very heavy- and these seem to help. I also use a cramp buster which allows you wiggle your fingers whilst keeping the throttle open
  2. daz try move the bars side to side whilst pressing the starter

  5. thanks Slavomir, downloaded the manual but could'nt see any torque values, but found some info on here, 18nm seems to be what people have been using, cheers
  6. Hi, Had my forks serviced and ready to re-install, what torque should I use when re-fitting and should I drop through the yolks, did'nt measure when I removed them
  7. powder coat? had my valve covers done awhile back and they still look great
  8. thanks guys for suggestions, checked valves , air leaks etc all ok so took her to a local guy with a good reputation for a check over and tune up, and a dyno run! running better than ever
  9. Hi I think the one on the left side when tank is fitted should have a hose attached that runs down and exits behind the starter motor, Its to vent fuel away from the engine if overfilled, I think the other is a breather and on my bike, and others, there's was no hose attached
  10. have a look at stand excellent bit of kit
  11. I noticed it for the first time yesterday-I had done my usual commute, 20 miles motorway,A road and the last mile or so at 30ish surely I would have noticed it before? the only positive is now my wife may allow me to buy a new push bike as backup 'cos I got her car for work- 'all ways look on the bright side of life.....
  12. thanks guys for your help, I'm not very mechanically minded but willing!! I ran the bike for a minute today to check for anything obvious but nothing, is it worth checking the valves? how do i check the injectors?(no thermometer) is it safe to ride? even to a garage? I have done about 1700miles in the past few months(alot for me) only yesterday the bike clocked 18888, which tickled me and i thought ' Man life is sweeeeet' soon be run in!!!! :angry:Hubert I wish i could ride it but I fear serious damage!!
  13. Hi, Came home last night from work and as I put the bike in garage the left hand exhaust appeared to glow!!!!!!!! bike sounded and rides well valves were checked 2000 miles ago, any help appreciated
  14. just spotted this, anyone used one? My link
  15. Hi Is it the 'glass' part or the arm itself? threadlock or something similar? if you do need a new mirror the ones from wemoto look very much like the originals but vibrate much less!
  16. love the description, nice photo
  17. makarushka mine is also at the 4000-4200rpm when on a steady throttle, riding in traffic, it feels like a cough as though the bike is sneezing! fine above or below this rpm and also when accelerating past these revs- I think its time to visit my mechanic all that tps stuff is beyond me
  18. Hi Is a X over the way to go in a bid to rid me of the sneeze when on steady throttle and about 4000rpm? I have Mistral cans so would this make the bike run lean? would I be better waiting for the funds for a PC? thanks
  19. forgot to add as for a stand try www.becker-technik.de still can't do the linky thing
  20. I was abit worried when I first read the post having had my rear wheel off recently-30 nm!!!!!!! f@~k me what have I done! I just checked the handbook and it states 12kgm(117nm) every bike I haved owned(ok not loads) the rear wheel has always been 100nm+ however I just looked in the workshop manual and it does say- as spotted above- 30 nm!! off to Silverstone tomorrow aswell!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/cable/thinwall.php which would be the most suitable cable for the extra earthing? thanks
  22. Ok finally got time to tackle this, after several tries I had to remove wheel, bevel box and still remove the shock bolt!!! I then needed to adapt the gun fitting ('Moscow bend') however when I removed the bevel the alignment marks on the shaft were on the same half!!!!! there were 2 notches in the end ,one bigger than the other, is there a way to check that I have assembled it correctly(I know guzzichrondria)
  23. cheers, I did wonder if the seller (eblag) thought it was a 1100 sport, fotoguzzi thats exactly what I'm after! I might have to put up with it awhile longer as I've just sprung from motogp tickets!
  24. Hi Can someone explain what a eprom chip will do? Is it a worth while mod? or should I save my pennies for a x over?thanks
