so some people read on the 'net then think they know stuff , not me, Its not that I can't be bothered to understand it, I have a very basic understanding of the forces in action but I don't have years of hard won experience- when I take my bike for a set up session I'll take her to an experienced mechanic with 30+years of wrenching and racing, If someone ask's a question about electrics for instance are you going to say they haven't made an effort to learn!!! good tip about the forks- thanks It might not be ideal to mess with the ride height however the bike is stable, the suspension now does its job and I'm no longer struggling to handle the weight with pillion on camber/poor surface roads! and who the heck buys a bike with their inseam and not there heart foremost in there mind!! thanks for your input arriverderci

Docc its a black art to me , I asked for a 25mm drop- the shock looks like a quality piece of kit, it comes set for your weight and riding(street , track) it also has all the settings recorded sag, preload rebound settings etc-it does say' lowered 20mm on shock and 5mm extra sag ' I haven't had time to check to sag I just bolted it on and am just loving it! I may play about with it at some point but to say its transformed the bike would be spot on!!

Hi guys, so following on from my oil leak thread , bike starts and runs great but the last few times that I've started the bike the battery light stays on for maybe 5-10 seconds. I had the battery off the bike for a few weeks, put the bike back together and ran it in the garage to see to all was ok, next day started the bike light stays on for 5-10 seconds, rode a mile to gas station-light not on when idling or after gassing up, went for an hour's ride, no probs, measured 13.8v @3000rpm when home.went to work this morning battery light stays on again, rides slowly to gas station no light after setting off, lights and dash all ok-rode 15mls to work bike starts like normal runs fine, regulator cool to touch when home and measured 12.8v engine off when I got home, the light always used to go out as soon as the engine fires up i've only noticed this recently- I will check connections and earths etc, any help would be great! just a thought does the regulator body need to touch bare metal? should I scrape off the powder coat where its bolted to frame? thanks sorry if its a bit long winded!

so I had a new oil line made up locally, I discovered that the timing sensor bolts and 4 or 5 on the timing cover where really loose, so being lazy I just tightened them up!! yes I know it might come bike to haunt me but ce la via! had sub frame powder coated seemed rude not to

replaced the hose, what royal PITA! hose was cracking at either end but look good otherwise , so having a look again I found a small hole in the oil cooler line , right above the alt. cover, would explain the mess in pic. 3, MG what 94 euro for one has anyone had any luck having one made elsewhere?

guys I took a deep breath and waded in! ran the motor for a short while, cycled the gears to sixth, disconnected battery, drained the oil, with the engine supported and the oil cooler removed I took off the front bracing, in the first picture below just in front of the far HT lead its covered in oil!! also oil is evident on some electrical connections, my hose under the spine shows sign of cracking so I'm thinking its the hose! new one ordered so my plan is to replace hose first and see if its split so any tips for this job?? thanks guys

hope not at 13,500mls!! that would be pushing my spannering skills!!
