Ok, I will resist my urge...I did notice some sort of glue that prevents me from turning the screw... my concern was more for lack of play... but it fine..... Thanks

Other than the adjustment at the lever-master cylinder, is there an adjustment at the slave down below?

Howdy folks. Attached is a photo of a plug off my 04 v11. Please take a look and let me know if you guys think about the mixture. plug is around 1k old ngk bpr6es. valve clearances are at 04 intake 06 exhaust.... insulator is white with a spot on the side... very little wear. some carbon on the threads/base Thanks for your input Charles

The best I've attained is 41 miles per gallon doing a steady 70 on the highway. I've heard that the stock 04 v11 map is more on the rich side everywhere except for the 2800-3300 rpm area where it is somewhat lean.... MTC Charles 04 V11 naked with a my15m ecu and heavy cherry bomb inserts in stock cans....

I finally bit the bullet and bought a ballabio handle bar kit for my 04 naked and I can't believe the difference in practicality! Instead of wanting off at around 80 miles of distance with the clipon's, I think I can run the tank dry twice with the handlebar set up! I didn't have the stock bar for it so I used a lsl superbike bar and drilled the proper holes for the control locations. Also, I was trying to drill and tap the ends of the bars to accept the stock clipon barend weights but I realized that it was much more practical to just get rid of the end nut, shave the rubber insulator down with a razor blade and shove it it with a tight interference fit. ( it won't go anywhere ) I even used the stock clutch line by bending it at a 90 degree angle, even though I have the longer one with the kit. It really transforms the bike! Charles

Thanks, I didn't realize that there is a cap covering the hex nut ! thanks. Sorry, I didn't change the lemans iv, which I sold to buy the 04 v11s naked best regards, charles

Howdy folks, is there a nut under the shiny cap of the top triple clamp that has to be loosened before it can come off? have the 3 pinch bolts and headlight bracket off,... thanks for any suggestions. Charles

Im installing a Ballabio bar conversion on my sport and was wondering if anyone can take a look at the photos to tell me if the metal spacer is indeed in the right spot, resting on the triple clamp. the parts diagram was confusing. This way, it seems like it will give me ample clearance on the top tubes. Thanks charles

Thanks!

My 04' V11s's under alternator crossover stays quite loose even with the clamps tightened to max. just swivels around. Anyone else have similar issues? doesn't seem to be leaking at the joints. Wonder if they are all like this. comments appreciated! Regards

Trying to convince my brother to use his s1 Lotus Europa as an interesting platform for a guzzi drive train... see attachment

Sounds like time for a My15m ecu conversion. I was only getting high 30's with the stock ecu and now I'm getting 44-46mpg on the highway with my cored pipes.

Bob, what clip on's are those with the risers? from a different bike? btw, your mufflers I bought that I cherrybombed are working nicely. Regards, Charles

What is the general effectiveness of the factor crossover pipe below the alternator on the 03 and later models and how it works with the aftermarket crossovers below the sump.... If I eliminate the undersump crossover, would there be a big hole through the midrange? I have a my15m to solve any mapping issues...

Brake line ended up being a bit too short and the end to the master is at the wrong angle so for this to work, it needs new brake and clutch lines... I think I'll leave them alone for now and tinker more with the My15m for an optimal map instead.

This is a 7/8 Chromoly bar with tig welds powercoated black made for a Honda Ruckus Scooter. I was trying to find a zbar with 90 degree angles but they were all 1" for harleys. The part that goes into the clip was about 1/4mm too thick with the powercoat so I just sanded the end down to 22mm. The amount of material holding the bar on the stock guzzi clip is not that much so I'm sure the aluminum will crack long before the bar will let go with all the leverage there. There are two small holes at each end of the Z for wiring to go through but I don't see the need to use them. Only challenge is a notch in the solid stock bar for the 2nd pinch bolt that would have to be put on the chromoly bar once you figure out what angle you want it so it won't be adjustable once its set. I was thinking this was a cleaner way to raise the bars than get dogbone risers... otherwise if I was to go with handlebars, I would put risers as long as the ones on the centauro, griso (around 4" and angled back) as short 1-1.5inch risers would still interfere with the top tubes and the reach wouldn't be any longer than the stock clipons anyway. I'll take a photo if I finish re-routing the cables(if they reach)

I couldn't resist trying this one... I cut a Ruckus Zbar in half. It's about a 3.5 inch rise and raked back a bit. wanted to try this before I drilled the yoke for normal bars. I might getaway with just rerouting the cables.

If u can solder, it's the cheapest way to cure the 3k miss and map for whatever mod u might do in the future. Can't imagine not being able to alter the ignition advance if optimal tuning is what anyone is after. Charles

Is the shaft that spins in neutral the same one with first gear?
-
Was looking at a V11 2003 naked for a friend that looks like a ringer for my 04. when idling there was a whirring noise that would go away temporarily by pulling in the clutch. Also, when slowing down in 1st gear to a near standstill I could hear what seemed like a different version of the noise I heard when idling... definitely not a gear noise but more like a bearing or a shaft not getting oil.... plenty of clean looking oil in the sight glass. This bike has only 3,500 miles and looks it. I can only hear it idling in neutral intermitantly (clutch out)..and only in 1st gear when slowing down. Could there be a bad bearing on a particular shaft? Regards Appreciate any feedback. Charles

I finally found out why it would not start when hot.... Neutral Switch... I tapped the shifter a little and the starter came to life. Funny thing is that the neutral light was on when the starter didn't activate. Does this mean that the switch just may be out of alignment? or just needs replacing? Thanks

Howdy folks, need your input on how effective a Lamda sensor... namely an LC-1 in use with My15m ecu is. I know many people disable it in wot mode and idle... appreciate any feedback.... 04v11s

Core them out and install Cherry Bombs! Take a look at my thread http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15562
