  1. I have the Titanium Guzzi mufflers, the Stucchi X-over and K&N pods. Here is the dyno chart
  2. My new Stucchi X-over has a threaded hole where you can stick the sensor. Problem solved!
  3. And I don't need a bike that is more sportier than the 1200S. It feels so much lighter and nimbler than the V11. I think I'll sleep a few nights on it. At the moment my V11 runs perfectly and I really enjoy it again. An option is to keep the V11 as a project bike (which it is already...) and ride the 1200S. I strategically left a 1200S brochure on the coffee table. My GF looked asked if that was the new Guzzi. She thought it looked much better than my V11. I'll take that as an OK. Now I have to convince myself it's worth the amount of money: € 14.490,- (that's 19,700 US Dollar)
  4. This morning I did something really stupid! My V11 needed rebalancing and while waiting at TLM, I couldn't resist and asked for a test ride on the 1200S. I only rode it for about 30 kms, but what a difference! It fitted me like a glove, feet are a bit more forward than the V11, and you lean more forward than on my V11 with Café Sport handlebar. Shifting is precise, but needs a bit getting used to. Neutral was hard to find, but probably due to the bike's low mileage. The engine is smooth as silk and you can tell the fuel injection is well sorted. It picks up nicely at 2000 rpm and the V11's on/off throttle is gone. Oh joy! I just love this new Guzzi. I'm doomed... Any ideas on what to do?
  5. I just replaced my intake rubber hoses. Less than a 1-hour job. And the hoses are reasonably cheap.
  6. Pics were not on shown due to a technical error...
  7. Yep, it was the left one. All this frustration is Antonio's fault!
  8. Thanks. I ordered a few of these rubber hoses at TLM (part # 01114300 ) to put on my garage shelf. Next weekend I'll ride without problems (knock on wood) to the Italo Day in Amsterdam.
  9. Strange... In some countries like Germany bikes w/o ABS hardly sell. In other countries nobody cares. I haven't ridden an ABS bike, but from what I've heard, I wouldn't dismiss it that quickly.
  10. I was planning to take a B&B around Edinburgh so yes, we could meet up somewhere!
  11. I found the culprit... The 4 cm. (!) crack was below the "slangklem" (Couldn't find the english word. ) so I didn't spot it right away.
  12. As Dlaing said, I'm experiencing the same problems. Today I went to Assen to see my nephew race his R1. Under 4000 rpm the bike ran like crap! Jihem, where did you find the air leak? Between the throttle body and cilinder or between the throttle body and filter? BTW, fuel economy is definetly better after the dyno run. Normally, the fuel light came at about 210 km. Now it wasn't even burning at 230 km.! (At 230 kms I had to stop because my brother's Sir Drinkalot (Triumph SpeedTriple) needed fuel.)
  13. Martin, you should go and see them this fall. They are touring in Europe. I already have tickets...
  14. You could also try TLM Used: +31.24371111-4
  15. Antonio, we're on the same boat! (pun not intended) However. I was planning to do the trip north in two days, arriving on Friday. On the boat I'll buy you a drink since it is my birthday.

    Am I Wrong?

BLASPHEMY!!! Just kidding... If you think you need it who cares what others think?
  20. Thanks! I always enjoy your ride reports.
  21. I don't understand. It ran beautifully when I rode home on friday. But it now pops and backfires at 2500 rpm AND at 3700 rpm. It's worse than before. Bugger. HdeB will get my call first thing tuesday morning.
  22. You need a dyno and a guy who knows what he's doing. He can enter the ECU with a special code and alter the program with special software.
  23. Today I had my ECU flashed. HdeB Engineering in Sleen (near Assen). At first he had some trouble with getting into the M15, but there was no stopping this guy. He took his time to get it perfect and I was at his place for over four hours! In the afternoon I had lunch at his home. Now that's service. If you have the opportunity, spend your money on a custom flashed map and not on a PowerCommander... I can tell you, it's worth it! The bike is much smoother, and the annoying popping at 3800-4000 rpm is gone! What a blast to ride the 80 miles home. Max. torque: 101 Nm (!) at 5500 rpm. Max. horsepower: 89,5 BHP at the rearwheel at 7500 rpm. I forgot to bring home the graphs but when I get them I will put them in the dynochart thread.
  24. Yeah right... Good luck with your effort though!
  25. I have a cellphone that I mostly use for work, but if you see me wearing it on my hip in a fake leather cover, shoot me!
