  1. Haven't heard from him for a while, but Ballabio Bertie from the Orkneys was planning to come too: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10035
  2. I just bought the Aprilia Tuono mirrors. Same ones are on the new 1200S. I checked them in my garage and I don't have to tug my elbows in that far anymore to see the cops chasing me... They were dirt cheap, btw. € 21,- a piece.
  3. Hi Mdude, I just bought the last one (so they said) at TLM. There isn't a brandname on it, but is the Stucchi type and built quite well. Fitting was no problem. To be honest, I thought it was rather expensive. But buying it saved me a custom exhaust set, so it's all relative.
  4. Forget about paint numbers... Just do search on this forum and you'll find lots of frustrated owners. Best thing you can do is go to a good paintshop and have him match the paint.
  5. Antonio, I did the same thing. No problems.
  6. There is a another reason for this behaviour; not only are they Harley riders, but they're German Harley riders!
  7. I'm sorry Ben, it just screams for a paintjob...
  8. Just stick 'm in your exhaust opening
  9. Time for an update: Just came out of my garage. Good news for my wallet! No need for a customised exhaust anymore. Yesterday I picked up a Stucchi X-over (I thought if a have the exhausts done why not go for a better X-over). Mounted the Stucchi and for fun mounted the Ti exhausts. Fits like a glove! I think my Mistral X-over was somewhat warped by excessive welding... Only thing to do is get a pair of Db-killers, because the noise isn't really comforting when riding (especially in Germany...)
  10. Why find this unbelievable? I see it as a sort of a barn find. The crate was somewhere in a remote corner of a large wharehouse and the paperwork was lost by human error. I can see this happen.
  11. There are a few US members on this forum with G&B's. So it's possible I guess. One member that springs to mind: Supertwin1
  12. Ceci n’est pas une chèvre.
  13. I'm having new exhausts built to my specs. At StarTwin
  14. I have the OZ wheels and the first time I rode with those, I thought it was a different bike! It really was amazing how a few kilos less makes a difference. Because of that the spoke wheels are not on my list anymore.
  15. Anyone willing to put some money on the date/time when this thread gets closed?
  16. No Jim, you're wrong. It's time to ride! Beautiful spring weather over here. Yesterday afternoon I took the V11 to the exhaust builder and I'm scheduled for next week. Can't wait. When ready I'll show pics.
  17. Oh boy, here we go again... Keep it civil guys!
  18. I agree with Guy, except for the part that it looks fine...
  19. Workaholics LIKE to work...
  20. That's worth a bodge point, isn't it? Glad you only have a damaged pride.
  21. No I'm planning to go there tomorrow. Workload permitting.
  22. Just a follow up: Took out the pressure regulator. Removing the circlip was easy but the regulator took some gentle persuasion to get loose. There are 2 O-rings, a small and a big one, both were o.k. There was some goo in there which apparently caused the leak, because when I cleaned and assembled it, the problem was solved. I love simple fixes...
