  1. I'd like to add my best wishes too! To everyone on this forum (writing, reading, moderating) a very merry christmas and a happy and healthy 2007 (with lots of troublefree Guzzi kilometers) BTW, because we don't do X-mas presents (see other topic) I ordered myself a nice set of thread cutters...
  2. We don't do Christmas presents. A lot of dutch and belgian families celebrate St. Nicolaas' birthday on December 5th. But the last few years there is a trend towards gifts at Christmas. A picture of St. Nicolaas and his black helpers, all called Pete: (not very PC, but it's tradition that goes way back)
  3. TLM is a great dealer to visit and has a X-mas show on 27 to 30 december. It's about 1 - 1,5 hr drive from Amsterdam. There is a large Guzzi/Ducati dealer in Amsterdam too: Motortoer For cultural stuff ask Antonio, he used to live there. But to get an idea on Amsterdam's musea: http://www.amsterdam.info/museums/
  4. Very famous in Holland and Belgium: Korfbal - a sort of prehistoric basketbal (with a real basket!) played by mixed teams. The most important reason for it's popularity, I guess. Interested? Check out this YouTube movie: The music is as dorky as the people who play it... BTW, after googling for above image I found out that there many more countries where korfball is played... even in South Africa and New Zealand!
  5. This is what I meant... An idea... why not start a "Global silly sports thread"? I'll start off.
  6. I really find it amazing that even a thread on cricket can be turned into global politics debate!
  7. They are developing, but I don't think it'll be for sale in 2007... There is a thread on this forum about it.
  8. What are you all talking about? The words you are using are almost as incomprehensable as cricket rules...
  9. Too bad!
  10. No, I've seen this before. I think they show it in Sweden on bike shows to show what a 280 km/h side impact can do. From what I remember there were 4 casualties.
  11. They didn't make enough money and therefore weren't really enthusiastic about another bike meet...
  12. I've seen a red one at the GMG in Mandello. Best looking Norge around. It stands out from the BMW / FJR crowd more. Good choice and congrats!
  13. And then there's the Highwaycat, whose distinct feature is his very low height...
  14. Hi ShiftyAl, my answers in red.
  15. Suzuki Katana of some sort? I seem to remember they were designed by Germans. Google: http://www.katanacentral.co.uk/history/targetdesign.asp
  16. Flying Brick?
  17. Your dealer is right, the cat is in the mufflers on both sides BTW, congrats on your bike and welcome to this forum!
  18. I think we will have a problem with the location...
  19. Oh well... there will be plenty of V11 riders left who choose to come to Holland. (I hope)
  20. That's exactly the reason why I will be camping...
  21. And will there be a GMG in 2007? I was under the assumption that after a 5-year celebration MG would skip a year... Any inside info on this?
  22. Cool! Register with me through e-mail and I'll add your name to the list
  23. So far 2 persons will definetly show up: Antonio and I
