  1. It's a great bike that handles beautifully and has plenty of real world power! I love the looks of the bike, but I'm 6'4" and sitting ON the bike and not IN the bike It felt a bit awkward (and it probably looked a bit awkward too :-) ) Furthermore, it has no wind/weather protection. You have to ride it yourself!
  2. Didn't know you were fluent in Dutch! [emoji16]
  3. ^ +1 Happened to me too once
  4. Where the fun starts:
  5. True. A little more ride height would have been nice.
  6. Plan is to leave Saturday to do a week trip to the New Forest region with a visit to the V-twin rally in Fordingbridge afterwards. Can any of you (UK) members recommend campsites in that area? On my to-do list so far: Sammy Miller Museum, Beaulieu Motor Museum and the Bovington Tank Museum (I want to see all the Tamiya models I used to build in my teens in real life) If you have anymore touristic pointers, roads I need to ride, warnings or other helpful information I would be grateful!
  7. Should we rename this thread? F.i. What tire is it?
  8. I 'm stiil convinced this one should be mine.
  9. Ooooh, I finished mine years ago! Very nice!
  10. Running Conti Road Attacks on my V11 and now on my 1200 Sport for ages. Great tyres. Also in the wet.
  11. Oh,the guy looking at it at the workshop told me the pushrod was OK too,I forgot to mention that.Do you know what could have caused those bad clearances on that bike you saw? From what I remember it was a case of an extremely worn pushrod. So it must have been a production problem. The bike was almost new
  12. Hoping for the above but it could also be a bad pushrod. I've seen a 2005 Cafe Sport once with similar clearances
  13. Almost all on Guzzis are plain metric bolts and nuts. Just buy some different sizes at your local hardware store for little money and try.
  14. Hahaha, I shared this pic on my favorite Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/95218296813
  15. FWIW, my original V11 clutch fitted w/o problems to the Centauro engine. So vice versa must be the case also.
  16. Another culprit could be the starter solenoid. It died twice on me already.
  17. FWIW, the dash on my 1200 sport sais 11.8v too, but it starts w/o a problem. Check the blue 15A fuse.
  18. I own a 1200 sport from new and have done about 25.000 kms now. Check the battery connections for corrosion and tightness. My 15A fuse went a couple of times and I have yet to find the culprit. Carry spares. Please keep in mind that imo the V11 handles much better. I had to do a lot of fiddling with the stock suspension to take it to an acceptable level. The grunt of the 1200 2valve engine makes up for everything. It never let me down. Love it, but keep in mind it's not a sportsbike!
  19. Thanks for the pics! Great stuff. Love that Panther sloper.
  20. Sounds like you had a great time!
  21. I know for a fact that Guzzirider from 'Uddersfield has good experiences with Maxton
  22. Not a SM, but I got this for my birthday: Highly recommended!!!
  23. Bearing sizes have all been mentioned in the 13 years this forum is online. A thorough search will get you all the info you need
