  1. Two days ride, hotel in South Germany and Mandello included. Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  2. Old LandRovers... No sorry, I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Talk about unreliable money pits! Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk
  3. You could rent a Guzzi from TLM in NL and ride with the Dutch crowd to Mandello in September
  4. Because my 1200 sport runs like a charm and I don't feel the need to modify it, I decided to trade my Renault van for something completely different. A '91 Volvo 240 Super Polar. A proper swedish tank with 313.000 kms. Love it to bits! And with help from a Haynes manual very nice to tinker on.
  5. These kind of statements make me proud that I started this forum in 2002! [emoji482] HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
  6. Hahaha, maybe...
  7. My V11 gearbox has about 40.000 kms, still the original spring
  8. I've edited the registry!
  9. My starter button was a bit corroded at one time. Took it apart, cleaned it, put it back together, problem solved.
  10. Registry updated
  11. It's plug and play, although a valve en TPS check beforehand is a good thing
  12. FYI: Rotors are the same as on early Aprilia RSV models
  13. I don't think WP shocks were ever mounted on V11 production bikes. Either Sachs-Boge or Öhlins. Maybe on the prototypes?
  14. As always: :notworthy:
  15. I know we all are getting dependent on computers more and more, but for Pete Roper's sake, who needs a MacBook for drilling holes in the airbox lid?
  16. That very much looks like Belgium. I recognize the ugly building style
  17. It's a great bike that handles beautifully and has plenty of real world power! I love the looks of the bike, but I'm 6'4" and sitting ON the bike and not IN the bike It felt a bit awkward (and it probably looked a bit awkward too :-) ) Furthermore, it has no wind/weather protection. You have to ride it yourself!
  18. Didn't know you were fluent in Dutch! [emoji16]
  19. ^ +1 Happened to me too once
  20. Where the fun starts:
  21. True. A little more ride height would have been nice.
  22. Plan is to leave Saturday to do a week trip to the New Forest region with a visit to the V-twin rally in Fordingbridge afterwards. Can any of you (UK) members recommend campsites in that area? On my to-do list so far: Sammy Miller Museum, Beaulieu Motor Museum and the Bovington Tank Museum (I want to see all the Tamiya models I used to build in my teens in real life) If you have anymore touristic pointers, roads I need to ride, warnings or other helpful information I would be grateful!
  23. Should we rename this thread? F.i. What tire is it?
