Back to the third one: BMW engine in a Victoria (from Nürnberg - D)

The engine is BMW. The bike probably isn't, because it's good looking I'll do some googling to find out.

On the Dutch Guzzi forum I came across this link. http://paaat.guzz.free.fr/diode_transil/english.html I don't know if this subject was covered already, but what are your opinions on it?

I think too that the name Moto Guzzi belongs to Mandello del Lario and vice versa. But I think that in the (very) old factory it's just not possible anymore to produce modern motorcycles according to modern quality standards. The ideal situation would be a new factory in or not far from Mandello and the offices and Museum at the old site. But the fact that Piaggio didn't show much interest in Guzzi at all (if one bids enough, it's theirs), makes me believe that they will sell the old location for big bucks to some real estate company. Worst case scenario: Piaggio gives Guzzi two years to raise sales, and then decides to terminate the whole bunch and sell the brandname. This is all speculation from my part and I can't be held responsible if /when any of this turns out to be true...

Hi Mogens, I use a PCIII too and I must say after a dynorun where a custom map was made my V11LM ran much better. (and used less petrol)

I decided two use two bars. It takes out the sideways movement, completely and that helps to keep the welds intact.

I did exactly what JRT suggested: Two struts welded between the two frame halves. Works fine. Here's a few pics: BTW, the frame is for sale if anyone is interested.

Dave, you talk about "some bubbling". That was not the case (no pun intended) My engine case looked like a warthhog that spent his 3 week vacation on Miami Beach with no sun tan lotion. Søren: that's exactly the same setup as I have! Should give you about 11 more hp at 8000 rpm and a very flat torque curve.

I have the same "dimensions" as BrianG and ride very comfortably with the Ballabio-bar on my LeMans (w/o fairing) But I have to say that the inch higher Rich Maund seat helps a lot too!
