  1. Cool! Ask him if he is from the eastern part of Holland. If he is, he'll understand this: "Carbid schiet'n, dat knapt d'r mooi op."

Like: "don't worry, it'll never happen"
  3. WD40?
  4. JRT: You are twice right: I meant Carbide. (Nice bang and great folklore. ) and Sodium is called natrium in most European languages: http://www.webelements.com/webelements/ele...ext/Na/key.html To stay on topic: ...Time to go to bed...

I don't think that's an issue for people who can afford this bike. My guess their yearly mileage stops at 1500... Still, I want one. I have room in my sun lounge. (but not in my bank account ) BTW, Paul has a 1200+ Dynotec engine too. Haven't heard him on reliability.

Francesco, isn't it so you have to order the Paul Smart replica through internet? Like the MHE? That ploy could work for the MGS too!
  10. Last oil change: 2000 kms ago (winter 2002-2003, so about time...) Total kms: 7000. And yeah... I could take a bottle or 2 with me on the plane back. Hadn't thought of that.
  11. Last few weeks shifting gets more and more "clunkier" (is that a word?) and I'm experiencing more false neutrals shifting down. I've read a few times different oil could help: "Red line". What's that and is there a European counterpart? Are there any other suggestions? TIA
  12. Well said! I'm closing this topic as it has nothing to do anymore with the original posting. If you still feel the need to reply, let me know and I'll reopen it.
  13. Antonio, there is a link to an online converter top right of the forum.
  14. Orson, If you come through Holland next year, you're welcome to stay!

Where is this picture taken? I'll take two back to Europe in my hand-luggage this summer. Paul, want one?
  18. Trivia: In Germany they used to have their own brand of cola: Afri Cola BTW where is Konrad (K.tx)? Haven't seen him around for a very long while.
  19. I didn't know that. So much for standardisation...
  20. Here in Holland the lowest octane available is 95. I always use 98. Very expensive, but I only want the best for my Goose.
  21. A 5.5 x 17" front wheel? What would that be for? But the prices are interesting, however the rims are stainless steel, so quite heavy. Thanks for the search! I will contact Däs-Mototec to see what they can do.
  22. Can't really tell. Nice wheels, btw. But there is the problem of the rear hub. Ducati is chaindriven and completely different...
  23. I googled a bit, and found these EV specs: Front rim 2,50"x18" Rear rim 4,00"x17" Front 110/90 VB18" Rear 150/70 VB17" No go there...
  24. I'm sorry, but I don't like that machine. Maybe it's the quality of the picture...
