  1. As always with your ride reports: I want to tie the luggage on and go ride myself! Great stuff! Thanks.
  2. The idea won't leave my head... Saturday I already talked to Paul about it and I wonder if the Cali EV wheels with tubeless rims would fit the V11. Any ideas?
  3. And another pic. It's still a prototype. Ofcourse I want it in carbon fiber
  4. Here's another pic.
  5. Because I dont like the looks of the bulky hugger I took it off. But with wet roads,... well you can guess. I made this. It took a 30x20x0,2 cm black plastic piece, a soft rubber sheet and some SS fasteners.

The kit would come with a 4-valve engine too? My guess: rumours
  7. A lot of 180 riders downgraded to 170 and are happy with quicker handling. I don't see problems.

I think if there is a kit or even a plan to produce a kit to transform the V11 into a MGS someone on this forum would have known. I also visit the german V11 forum, but no-one mentioned it there either. I would have remembered, because I would want one too! @all: If you have information on this let us know!!!

Welcome to the forum! I have never heard of such a kit (150 hp seems a bit much for a aircooled 2-cylinder drive-shaft streetbike) But if you want to upgrade your Scura, aftermarket pipes and crossover, different filter and remapoing the ECU will do a lot performance wise. I would advise to ride it stock for a while and if performance isn't enough do an upgrade... Lots of info on this forum!
  10. Antonio, you're finally convinced by the advantages of a PCIII?
  11. Contact forummember Rich Maund in the US. He rebuilds V11 seats. A lot of forummembers already have one.
  12. It fits well. Not a complete bolt on job, but I had mine mounted in half an hour, with a little fiddling. Looks great and the rear LED light is brighter than the original. I have Mark I version. Glassfiber and carbon bottom. Pics in the Gallery under V11 Modifications.
  13. I have to correct myself. This afternoon I checked again with daylight and noticed there is still a gap of about 10 mm between the bar and the tranny.
  14. Paolo (manager) to Luigi: "We still have 5000 SS M5 x 12mm wrongly ordered bolts on our shelves. I don't care where you put them, but at the end of the month I want them gone..."
  15. The german V11 Forum administrator has the new Continental Roadattack sporttouring tyres and is very satisfied... soft on the edges and hard in the middle... the ideal Sport Touring tyre. The press was also very positive.
  16. @ all: You've been very helpful, thanks! Only problem is with so many suggestions... where (not) to go? We'll only be one night in Seattle after a 12 hr. flight; I'm guessing we'll be too tired to be good company. And the next morning we have to leave early for Everett to pick up the RV. So a visit in and around Seattle will be a problem. But everyone who wants to meet us along the way is invited! My mobilphone# 0031-6-53896046
  17. Strange, it looks like it can't be moved up. The top bar fits just under the frame. How much space do you have between the bottom bar and the tranny? But to quote Al: YMMV... I have sort of a prototype. F.I. my fuel pump is above the oil cooler and I have yet to see another V11 with the same setup.
  18. I just checked, but on my LM (with pods) there runs an alu bar from one throttle body to the other. The middle of the bar supports on the tranny. Furthermore there is a black metal bar that connects the top of both TB's So I don't think shaking will be an issue.
  19. Thanks so far, guys! Here's the itinerary... well sort of. Seattle (arrive US July 18 th.) Everett (RV pick up next day) direction Spokane Glacier NP Yellowstone NP direction Salt Lake City Arches NP/Glen Canyon NP/ Bryce Canyon/ Monument Valley Grand Canyon Las Vegas Yosemite San Francisco (leave US Aug 11th.) A few questions/requests: - Is this all doable in 3 1/2 weeks? - We don't want to drive in the desert in midsummer. What roads can you advise from Vegas to Yosemite? - If you use road numbers could you also mention cities and state? - Are there any "mustsees" off this beaten track? - Remember, we're not riding my Goose but driving a slow RV. So no twisty infested roads please. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  20. 6000 kms, no problems (yet...)
  21. Al, how are things at home? Any news?
  22. We're still figuring out where we want to go exactly. The big plan is Seattle - San Francisco and a lot of National Parks in between in 3,5 weeks.
  23. Try this: 0049 - 7176 - 3729 Last weekend on the V11 meeting I heard that Roland Däs was extremely busy. In a one person shop that's probably the reason why he doesn't answer your email.
  24. We're looking for advice for our holiday in the North-West region of the US. We arrive in Seattle on July 18th. around 12.00 AM local time Next day we pick up our RV in Everett and our first goal is the city of Spokane. We'd like some advice on scenic routes to Spokane. If there are "mustsees" we would like to know too! TIA Anja & Jaap
  25. Here in the eastern part of Holland there is a new year's tradition to shoot with sodium (Dutch: carbid) They take old milkcans, drill a small hole in the bottom, put the sodium in it, ignite it and shoot the lid or a plastic ball away. On December 31st and January 1st you can hear the (illegal) bangs from miles away. Love it. There are even specialists who have made a trailer with 5 or more cans and sparkplug ignition...
