I had my "Paul Minnaert Tailpiece" painted in the red of the '02 LM. My painter did a 99,5% match. As Willyz wrote, 3 layers: silver, transparent red, and clearcoat. But you need an experienced paintshop to get result. This week I will receive my new fairing in the same red. Hopefully it comes out fine... But forget about paintcodes. If you have the opportunity and cash, have the bike completely painted in an easily obtainable color.

Well... I honestly thought this thread was buried, but no, Belfastguzzi had to dig it up again... For me it's shopping time. Tonight I have my birthday party, tomorrow is my birthday and the weather will be fine... Guess what I'll be doing?

@ Fonzarelli: I know one German owner, Guzzireinhard, who has the first set ever sold on his 2003 LM. He also has the higher windscreen and is very happy with this combo. He especially likes the angle adjustment which most "ordinary" risers don't have. He did have "crotch" problems with the old setup and with these risers his problems were gone.

Why not? If it makes your ride more relaxing and enjoyable...

I forgot: my Mistral (=Lameroni) mufflers and x-over were installed at the same time, so all my previous statements on mufflers alone are hereby declared invalid. Together they made the midrange dip almost dissappear. But they are loud. And get louder. I had to install db-killers because my GF could here me 7 kms away from the house! With the K&N's and PCIII I have the meanest sounding bike in a 15 km radius! And it runs like a friggin freight train!

I now have the PC installed because I have Mistral slip-ons/x-over and K&N pods. Seat of the pants: much improved power deliverance.
