  1. Keith Breeden asked me to post this picture. Keith, could you comment the picture yourself?
  2. The bike you show is from Inteam in Germany. They also sell these sets and ship. Don't know about their english but their german is allright Tel: 0049-9822-323 I would go for smaller turnsignals...
  3. Trust ME? You'll be the first! Even my GF doesn't : "You have to ride again? Where are you going to all the time?" I forgot: my Mistral (=Lameroni) mufflers and x-over were installed at the same time, so all my previous statements on mufflers alone are hereby declared invalid. Together they made the midrange dip almost dissappear. But they are loud. And get louder. I had to install db-killers because my GF could here me 7 kms away from the house! With the K&N's and PCIII I have the meanest sounding bike in a 15 km radius! And it runs like a friggin freight train!
  4. Or here: Dynojet European testcenter in Oss, The Netherlands. (Hans Kerkhoven) Address: Kromstraat 82-E / 5345 AD Oss, Netherlands Phone: +31 (0)412-403770 Fax: +31 (0)412-403636 E Mail: eurosales@powercommander.com But as mentioned in another thread, there is really no need for a PC if you only have slip-ons.
  5. I will say something. I do say something. I am still saying something. I shall say something: With slip-ons only you'll be fine. I rode with Mistrals only and there was no need for chip-adjustment. I now have the PC installed because I have Mistral slip-ons/x-over and K&N pods. Seat of the pants: much improved power deliverance.
  6. Getting rid of the HEAVY fairing gave me the opportunity to ebay an almost new Öhlins steering damper for ridiculously low money! *smug* My Bitubo leaks and is just out of guarantee...
  7. This is the one for the Aprilia Futura: (€ 615,-) Extremely rough translation: (German "natives" please correct me if I'm wrong...) 1st paragraph: Wilbers Shocks are made to customers specs indvidually. (Weight, usage, etc.) 2nd paragraph: a bunch of marketing blabla 3th paragraph: Fully adjustable preload, compression and rebound damping and a lot of other BS 4th paragraph: Optional: hydraulic preloader + € 205,- height adjustment: + € 100,-
  8. I'll bet that in this case it wasn't a marketing genius, but a socially challenged, low tolerance, civil servant geek who's only ability: ass kissing, got him to his current position where he could prescribe these ludicrous tags. ...just a guess...
  9. Just keep in mind that the Ballabio's headlight is fixed to the frame, while the "older" sport models have theirs mounted to the forks. That will make a difference in mounting a screen that's been made for the V11Sport.
  10. Thanks, I'm not going to try anymore. Got it working with this huge old computer, that fit's exactly under my workbench. Now only get it to connect to my home network/internet, and put a bed and a fridge in the garage and Jaap is a happy camper!
  11. Aprilia top box thread
  12. Of all races today, Frankie Chili's victory in the SBK impressed me most... from 11th place to 1st in 11 rounds. And somehow I really like it when an "old" 998 wins from a new 999.
  13. Here's my story on installing the PCIII... I just got out of the garage and installed the PCIII. Finally. Last week I got my license back so I was in a hurry to get the bike ready. The Öhlins fork, K&N pods, Ballabio handlebars... The bike ran great with only the Mistral mufflers and X-over but with the pods installed I thought it was time to get the PCIII into action. But first I had to find a means to upload a map. My laptop hasn't got a serial port anymore... so no go there. On eBay I found a cheap Palmtop M100. It came complete... yeah right... no cable. No go. Then I bought an USB-serial cable to connect the laptop to the PCIII... no go. Then EUREKA! I had an old PII desktop computer, which I moved to my garage. I had the bloody thing running and was ready to load the almost fitting mapwhen the graphic card ""melted" So off to my local computer shop to get a cheap card. They gave me a 2nd hand free! Excellent. (They will get more business from me in the future.) Download the fitting drivers and presto, computer worked again. The rest was a breeze. Installed the PCIII software, connected the computer with the PCIII and uploaded the map. This afternoon I'm going to look for some nice mirrors... maybe Duc Monster? Pics will follow asap. But now... 23°C
  14. Belfastguzzi, you are right about moving this thread to Tech Topics. My initial goal was to have forum where members could share tips & tricks, or even write down a manual . But boundries are quite vague... It doesn't matter much to me... On some forums, especially computer related ones, you'll get flamed by a 15 year old geek who hasn't left his bedroom for three consecutive years, f.i. when accidentally posting in the wrong forum. Not here!
  15. As announced, today I deleted all members with 0 posts. I also deleted all entries in the Lurker's Forum. Member numbers are down to 510... So more than 50% hasn't visited/posted this site the last two months...
  16. The bearings are A+ quality: SKF from Sweden. It's probably due to the incorrect spacer length. (They are probably made by Luigi himself)
  17. Flawless Dutch ... Amazing! I really appreciate that.
  18. Don't worry... I found them quite amusing, these conversations with your alter ego. btw... I have deleted the King Nit account. Good riddance
  19. Pixed fer yictures...
  20. Hey Baldini/ King Nit, Stop messing with our head and the the forumisti that you are one and the same guy! I can't resist posting this Blackadder quote : "Wales is a ghastly place. Huge gangs of tough sinewy men roam the valleys terrorising people with their close-harmony singing. You need half a pint of phlegm in your throat just to pronounce the placenames. Never ask for directions in Wales Baldrick, you'll be washing spit out of your hair for a fortnight."
  21. Al, if you want you can add all these dates in the forum calendar.
  22. I've mounted the Ballabio bar on my LeMans and only needed a longer brake line. Don't now if the original fairing will fit anymore.
  23. I have the Mistrals, but I would check out the Ti Exhaust kit with ECU from Moto Guzzi. Just do a search, lots of info on this site.
  24. Belfastguzzi, read this thread. They speak of a completely different price in the UK Thread
