  1. Dolphins bring you luck. I found out that's true! I completely trashed my rear tire on the way to Belfast, but made it safely to the tyre center which was open on Bank Holiday!
  2. I'll give you a call this evening.
  3. Tree sap, horrible stuff. But mostly sticky, so I think it's not the case here.
  4. Keith, you have 2 PM's. Our itinerary so far: Monday: Colchester to South Wales (Brecon Beacons) Tuesday: Scenic tour in Wales (Start and finish in Brecon Beacons region - if you know some nice roads, let us know! Wednesday: Going North and maybe stay at Baldini Thursday: Short run to Holyhead through Snowdonia - ferry to Dublin Friday to Sunday: Ulster meet (Sheep Island view) The BMM is still an option; we decide on that on Sunday evening in Colchester, if so, Guy, we have your number!
  5. Keith, thanks for the offer! Keep in mind we are three (Antonio, Jens and myself). If possible we would like to meet and stay over, but we don't want to overextend your hospitality. We have tents with us, maybe that's a possibility? After visiting the BMM, we were thinking of touring in Wales for a couple of days and then hop over to Ireland. Maybe you have some places / roads in Wales we just have to do? Cheers!
  6. Good idea! A nice, quiet evening in a pub would be great. Guy, when will you be there?
  7. Common problem. Don't know if they're still available, but check this thread: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6893
  8. Mudguards from non-Öhlins V11 are different. The (CF) mudguards from early Aprila RSV are a simple bolt on for the Öhlins V11
  9. A bike museum is considered cultural? What's next? BFG, thanks for all the info! I'll be staying in Ireland a couple of days after the meet and do some site seeing
  10. Antonio, Jens and I start our B&B/camping trip to the Ulster meeting on mondaymorning 24th in Colchester. Plan is to take a touristical route to Holyhead where we take the ferry to Dublin on thursday. Do you English and Welsh blokes know any points of interest (museums, viewpoints, nice towns, curvy roads, ect.) that we just have to see/visit? Plan is to include the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham. Another question. Do we have to book Wales-Ireland-Wales ferries in advance?
  11. knob, shaft ...this is just too easy...
  12. I'm selling this because it doesn't fit on the deep sump with external oil filter. It's part of the G&B kit, so new and not painted. Brackets and fasteners included. € 175,- o.n.o. + shipping
  13. Question from a Dutch Guzzi rider: Did the V11 steering head angle change when MG went from the red frames to the (improved (?) black frames in 2001/2002 ?
  14. Just a question that came up: Why is the brake fluid reservoir bigger than the clutch fluid reservoir? Theoretically there is no need for a reservoir at all? Maybe someone can shed some light on this?
  15. Patience grasshoppers... Next week I have to finish all my normal work and get the G&B ready for paint. Then I'm off for vacation and the Ulster meet with Antonio and Jens. When I get back I will make a list of all parts I have for sale. (Quite a long list!) and put it in the Classifieds.
  16. To properly align bodywork and tank we had to raise the rear tank and seat mount.
  17. I had about € 125,- + shipping in mind for these. Handlebar is straight. The handlebar alone new is about € 200,-
  18. Mine were too, but I think the cause is the really, really tight fit for the bearing.
  19. AFAIK the V11 always had the same levers. But... not all Ducati/Brembo levers fit! Best thing to do is go to a Duc dealer and find out for sure. And welcome to the forum!
  20. Plan is to participate in the Guzzitrackday (Mettet) on July 5th. If it's ready, it will have it's first outing at Boxmeer (June 19th) Check www.aviacompositi.it for prices on the EVO2 unit. Be afraid... If you're interested: I have two working white faced gauges for sale. (Speedo is however in kms)
  21. Swapped the rotors from my 1200Sport. The G&B now has three Braking wave discs.
  22. The nipple is probably hard to spot (grease, road grime and what not). It should be right between two ends of the uni-joint. It would be really weird if your drive shaft only had two . But with you can expect the unexpected!
