it's dutch! It literally means "greasy" in the sense of dirty, filthy, like a $10,- prostitute.

Thanks, I think... No I haven't, but it's worth a try and easy to set up. But I'll need an active moderator for this subforum! What do you all think? Three subforums? Big-block, small-block and other models? -

Aren't those US built Opels? -
I also found those at a Dutch supplier, but the band with is 25/32" (20mm?) which is way too big.

Thanks for looking! I think I'll go for the narrow ones by Stagonset.

It's christmas in springtime! Just received the G&B kit. Will show pics when everything is unwrapped.

The wheels are powder coated metallic dark grey now. One of the reasons why I decided for a neutral color as I haven't decided on a color scheme yet. (but the eagle stays, probably in vinyl) What do you mean with wrapping? Wrapping the body completely? I've seen it done on cars, but that's much easier as there aren't as many corners and curves. It's beautiful weather here today, so no new designs today! But first I have to get rid of a nasty hangover...

Thanks for the input guys! I had the same aprilia association with the eagle. That's a definitive. Don't like coloured wheels, except gold ) I'll be showing some more designs, it's quite easy now that I have Photoshop template. BTW, I'm going to put the OEM Ti exhaust back on. I've shown my design to an exhaust builder and he also said that it would be quite difficult to get it silent enough and properly running. The high costs helped me also in that decision!

I didn't understand much of what he was singing so I looked up the lyrics: Maybe he was improvising? "Cold Metal" Uh I played tag in the auto graveyard I looked up at the radio tower Rag tent by the railroad tracks Concrete poured over steel bridge Pondered my fate While they built the interstate I'm a product of America From the morgue to the prisons Cold metal, when I start my band Cold metal, in my garbage can Cold metal, gets in my blood And my attitude Yeah, a huh Threw my hide in an automobile Heard a song called "Drive the wheel" Truckers, trailers, tractors caught me workin' This is the song of my heritage From the bad to the Buddha Cold metal, that's what it be Cold metal, from sea to sea Cold metal, it's how we win And also how we sin How we sin, how we sin, how we sin, how we sin Cold metal, in the afternoon Sounds lovely like a Hendrix tune Cold metal, it's the father of beat The mother of the street Cold metal, it rolls on by Cold metal, gonna raise it high Cold metal, it'll even fly Rust buckets in the sky Cold metal, got to be Skeleton of the free Cold metal, it's gotta be Better save a tree Save a tree, save a tree, save a tree, save a tree Yeah "I wanna be your dog" So messed up I want you here In my room I want you here Now we're gonna be Face-to-face And I'll lay right down In my favorite place And now I wanna be your dog Now I wanna be your dog Now I wanna be your dog Well c'mon Now I'm ready to close my eyes And now I'm ready to close my mind And now I'm ready to feel your hand And lose my heart on the burning sands And now I wanna be your dog And now I wenna be your dog Now I wanna be your dog Well c'mon

Now, that's what I would call function over form! Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks in advance! One is 59 mm and the other is 64 mm. Can't find a supplier that has the OEM's in stainless. At this moment the Stagonset Tridon 350 Stainless Steel Hose Clips are my favorite, because they have a band width of only 8 mm (http://www.stagonset.co.uk/)
-
I'm looking to replace the throttle body hose clamps. You know the ugly dark green ones that have turned grey/white. I would like to put some shiny stainless ones on. I know, I know... I'm a poser, but to me the details make a bike look great. All I can find are the standard ABA clamps, but I'm looking for a stainless version of the ones that are OEM. Does anybody know a source / brand ? Thx The standard ABA clamps:

Last year in England when I stopped for lunch this old geezer (walking with a kane) stops and gives me that typical british biker's nod. I didn't realize at first that it meant he was, or used to be a biker too. So I couldn't help asking: "it must be really annoying to have such an odd nervous tic" Just kidding, I didn't... The bloke said: "now that's a decent bike!" Of course I agreed and the he went on and on about all the Nortons, BSA's and Ariels he used to ride in the 50's and 60's. Great guy and some great stories! Honda was right with their advertising campaign in the 60's: "You meet the nicest people on a Guzzi" -

In NL MotoGP is not available on the regurlar TV channels anymore. Hopefully there is coverage on BBC1 or BBC2? -
Hi Phil, Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase! It's exactly that biked that attracted me to Guzzis. There is plenty of info on all your issues when you use the forum search. And this thread will be interesting: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5692 But don't let it put you off! Oh... not to burst your bubble, but your V11LM is a 2001 model. It probably got it's plate in 2004. Good luck!

Oil will definetly come out! When I change oil filters I always take off the sump. That way you can also check for residu. And from what I've heard replacing the filter through the cover is a pain. Don't know any after market brands/part numbers, but it's a quite a common filter so there should be one or two.

Thanks for all the useful info! After removing the swing arm I found out that one of the bearing is not really 100% fine anymore. If it was an easier job, I would have replaced w/o a second thought. Any input? oh... this is for you guys in the USA:

RebootGuzzispares has some V11 breakers at the moment. (Not shown on their site, but I got an email saying they had)
