I have now decided that it really has to go. [url=http://s891.photobucket.com/albums/ac119/philrusted/Moto%20Guzzi%20Le%20Mans/] Heart breaking stuff as this is by far my favourite bike to date. We all know about the interesting handling (improved with BT014 tyres) and the amazing engine, not to mention that beautiful sound when you get your head behind the fairing and open the throttle.... Anyway, I am getting all bleary eyed and talking myself out of selling it. It must go though, new business set up and not going as well as perhaps I had thought it would, time to realise some capital and then hopefully return to a Guzzi in a few years when the business is making me a compfortable income. Registered in 2004, year of manufacture also listed as 2004 on registration document although some on here seem to think it is a 2002 model. Either way it is in mint condition apart from a couple of scratches on the rear end / hugger from trying to fit that bloody luggage rack!!! Comes with PC3, Mistral pipes and crossover, standard pipes and a cunning bespoke pillion peg set up. Check the photos. Price - £4750.00 but open to sensible offers. Brand new BT014 tyres Cheaper than the others ofr sale in UK at moment as there are only 2 I can find, both of which are older and more expensive. If you want to have a look / ride etc, give me a call on 07900 808512 Photos on Phot Bucket, tried to insert link but it may not have worked, copy and paste this into your browser though....... http://s891.photobucket.com/albums/ac119/philrusted/Moto%20Guzzi%20Le%20Mans/ Bike is in Suffolk, UK Thanks Phil Rusted

Thinking about selling my V11 Le Mans on a 2004 plate (poss 2002 model) It is red and silver with Mistral pipes, crossover and Power Commander 3. Brand new BT014 tyres. Still with warranty from garage I brought it from for another 8 months or so. Really not wanting to sell it but have just started a new business so I think bikes and sports cars have to go. It is the start of a sad day for me, but maybe a good day for someone else!! I have photos etc on request. Bike located in Suffolk PM me for further details, price etc. Thanks Philip Rusted

Also - I have found a chap - Mark Hemmingway at Rockingham Classics and Sports, who have parts catalogues for all Guzzi models and orders direct from the Guzzi factory apprently. Anyway, he is a nice bloke and the rubbers are about £11 each I think. Thanks Phil Rusted

Also on my to do list but not sure where you get the rubbers from. Any tips on good suppliers in UK??? Thanks
-
Thanks for those replies. I have written to the chap from the guzzi forum to see if he has any problems with the pegs being further forward and if not then has he got a set for sale. I guess I could get some made up quite easily. In fact I have an engineer next door to me who makes frames for old Triumphs etc, featherbeds, I may pop and see him later depending on replies from the other forum. Thanks for the help Phil

Hi there, I have had a quick look through some of the hanger modification threads, but perhaps not the one you are referring too. To get the pegs down an inch or two would probably make a world of difference to be honest. Any clues where I can find the thread?? Thanks Phil

Just got back from a 1000mile long weekend with my girlfriend on the Le Mans. To say she was in some discomfort is an understatement. There were tears for the last 150 miles. Anyway, does anyone know of any way to make the pillion seat more comfortable without having to do a million things to the seat base (as described elsewhere in this forum) as I am inherantly lazy. Is there a suitable replacement seat unit available anywhere?? Thanks

Thanks for that Hubert, I already have those ones but was wondering if anyone had figured out a better one for a stock set up to remove that awful flat spot. Thanks Phil Rusted

Hi there, I recently had some excellent advice from a number of you on the problems with my Le Mans running absurdly rich. That is now cured thanks to trying it with the stock ECU and then with reprogramming the power commander to the correct map for the Mistral Cans and cross over pipe. Now I am getting ready to travel to Belgium for a track day and need to put back on standard pipes. Had the power commander set to standard pipes and air filter and there was a HUGE FLAT SPOT at 3-5000 revs, just where you need overtaking power. Does anyone have any POWER COMMANDER MAPS for STANDARD PIPES AND AIR FILTER that remove this flat spot??? Any help would be much appreciated. Also - I have to programme the PC3 away from the bike as I dont have a laptop and cant get the bike in the living room...... Thanks Phil Rusted

Well, I got it to the fuel station and it was over 40mpg at normal 90mph riding, quite a bit of which was two up. Now I have the problem of it being a bit jerky coming off a closed throttle, but I can live with that as it now no longer smells of unburnt fuel and now has a useable tank range. THnaks Phil

In light of the excellent comments I decided that my mechanical ability would allow me to unwire the Power Commander and re-fit the wire directly into the stock ECU whilst still having the Mistral Pipes on. I didn't have time at the weekend to change the pipes back to standard but may do so this week. Needless to say it now runs a lot better with no rich petrol smell. However, it is a lot more jerky when getting onto part throttle from a closed throttle. Riding solo wouldn't really be noticeable but with GF on the back threatening to bang heads all the time it became somewhat problematic and resulted in me being a little tense when going to accelerate. This in turn has led to a bloody sore forearm this morning. I will try and link Power Commander to computer and re-program it to give me the options of Standard and Mistral Pipes and see where that goes. Also had to go and buy a 7mm socket for the ECU - who the hell uses 7mm bolts?????? Will also assess the fuel economy of the standard ECU when it needs filling up again. I have a feeling that it will be better if not as good as my BMW F800S which practically made petrol and regularly returned in excess of 60mpg at 90mph general looning. Thanks Phil

I have now found the power commander 3 and have the instructions as well as the standard pipes. Now I have no idea what to do

Thanks for the replies. However, I ventured on to the technical TPS set up sections and almost immediately realisd that this is not for my level of spannering. Perhaps best if it goes to Guzzi dealer at some point soon for a quick set up / dyno run. Does it need much of a change of set up to run Mistral or Standard pipes?? Or is this something I can change as the whim takes me so to speak?? Thanks Phil Rusted

Ok, I have a new to me 2001 LM which is running proper rich. The smell of unburnt fuel is obvious and I am only getting 120miles before fuel light comes on with general 90mph riding. It was sold to me with a power commander, but being as I cant find it I can only assume that there is not on epresent. It have Mistral pipes but I am soon going to temporarily return to standards for a European jolly / track day. Any quick fixes or is it a dealer / dyno job?????? Thanks
