  1. I had a Monza for a couple of years after looking for one for many years. It's a better bike then the sum of it's parts. My Kid lusted over it, though, and he has it now. It was wasted in Indiana with our straight roads. He'll enjoy it in Wisconsin.
  2. Not remotely..
  3. There is no end to the "shaved apery" a guy can find on a Guzzi.. "Oh yeah.. just put some epoxy and a hose clamp on it, Cletus.. it'll be fine."
  4. Needs forward controls and apes..
  5. Between the Mighty Scura (my all time favorite bike) and the AeroLario, I have the bases covered. I guess I have simple tastes.. Well, I'd kinda like to have one of those sand cast MV 4s, but not enough to open my wallet to actually get one.
  6. Looks like the bastards have done it again. I didn't mind when they put their logo on the stored pix, but this is on a par with their blocking technique. I went with ImgZeit. Simple interface, works with fones easily. I wonder if there is a way to move those photoblockit images to ImgZeit? I have *many* in the Lario Rehab and Aero Engine tutorials.. Blurring the images makes them useless.
  7. Yep, that's unobtainium all right. Good score..
  8. I think a little over 5 gallons useable is about right. I get around 38 mpg at 80 or so. The low fuel light normally starts it's thing around 165-170 miles. I "think" I could make 200 miles in a pinch, but have never pushed it..I'd definitely be on my best behaviour after the light starts to glow.
  9. I believe the proper term is "sloppage." Welcome to the forum..
  10. I know the feeling. I *hate* to start up an aircooled engine without warming it up, so I was pushing the AeroLario down to the shop in deep snow with the wind blowing 25 in near zero F weather. Got to the hanger apron, and it was ice covered under the snow. Managed to get the kick stand down as the bike and I were sliding sideways. Realized I was puffing and blowing like a steam engine, and saw a hooded figure coming down the path I'd just made. He laid his scythe on the bike, scrolled down on his I pad, and said," come along Mr. Stottlemeyer." I said, "No, no, there must be some mistake..I'm not ready yet." He just gave me the roll eye and said, "You can't *imagine* how many times I've heard that one.." I grabbed his Ipad, and saw my name was spelled wrong. Pointed that out. Many people spell it meyer instead of myer. He just said, "Crap. I've gotta talk to the girl that transcribes this stuff. Sorry to have startled you." and walked off. Whew. The next time, I was under the knife for a cancer operation. He came strolling in, fidgeted a bit, and said, "You know.. this is a *really* complicated procedure. It's been 5 hours now.. well, I'll be damned. You found yourself a *really* good cutter. Better get your bucket list covered, though.. I'll be back." So far, so good..
  11. Welcome, Anuar.. I'll bet the Rossa is really unusual in Malaysia.. Of course, we need pictures.
  12. I would *assume* Beetle does a map for them?
  13. We would have loved to be there, but were dealing with a death in our (aviation) family.. The spine raid rocks.
  14. Good idea..
  15. Dorcia and I went there last year..
  16. I'm definitely no sparky, but if I were going to add another relay, I'd make it the starter relay. Fused feed to 30, trigger it with the solenoid wire, and run a 16 gauge wire to the solenoid. KR will be along shortly to tell me why that won't work.
  17. Ahem. I've looked, but I do *not* see a hammer. I see rear drives galore, and a flashlight.. but..
  18. Not good. Relay manufacturers will tell you to keep that stuff away from their relays. There is some chemistry involved, but I would never use dielectric grease on any bike that has relays, except for the spark plug boots. Period. Apparently, it can even cause gas that travels in the wiring harness and get to the relays.
  19. Is pretty much the rule on all old Guzzis.
  20. Well, you did, too, old timer.. Sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you, but being a rock star with the AeroLario and all..I had to spend quite a bit of time with my fans.
  21. Well, I coulda been, but that was last year. No, this year for the first time in memory we're not going *anywhere.* I'm actually tired of travelling. Must be getting old..
  22. Always glad to have a happy customer..
  23. Yeah. Austin just put the left cylinder on his G5 together last week. Did the usual 5 heat cycles and retorque. That sucker came loose with a pop! After the Ohio rally, I'll have him retorque again and put anti seize on it. So, now what are you going to do Czakky? Drill it out and big hunker eze out?
