  1. A quicky trouble shooting thing. No neutral light-look for sticking neutral switch. Won't run in neutral-look for stuck neutral switch..or.. middle relay. Won't run in gear-side stand switch. That don't work? It's cursed. I'll give you a hunnerd dollars for it.
  2. Just what everyone needs.. a hundred horse 600 lb. dirt bike..
  3. FWIW, I use channel locks and lightly squeeze the last coil of the spring so it is secure on the boss when assembling the clutch. I'm guessing s wayward spring is your problem..
  4. Joe, you've missed out on the latest development of the Ram clutch while you were away. The new ones might be ok..
  5. That would be way out of Joe's price range. He liquidated everything to move to Germany, then had to come back so his wife could be with her mother. (cancer) She's doing ok, now.. but Unkept and his sweetie are starting from scratch.. again.
  6. I have just spent 3 months helping my pup, Austin, with his KLR from hell. What a complicated machine for such a simple job..
  7. Just MHO, but sometimes Guzzi specs need to be taken with a lump of salt. Occasionally, I wonder if the guys (and girls) that write Guzzi manuals have ever turned a wrench.
  8. That's nine. Close enough.. I haven't inquired with the water jet shop yet. I've been up to my er.. elbows.. in alligators supervising Austin making oiler nozzles and helping him get his stupid KLR roadworthy. What a nightmare.. If necessary, I'll.. cough cough.. make them by hand when this nozzle order is finished.
  9. "P.Roper" torque . . . So, this business of "torque the axle from the drive side" . . . Any basis as to why? Sure. You are just torquing the nut, not the whole assembly with the attendant drag involved if you are torquing the shaft. At least that makes sense to me..
  10. According to Pete.. the proper torque is "Until you fart." Works for me..
  11. Both. I have Road Attacks on the Mighty Scura, Classic Attacks on the Monza, and Sport Attacks on the MZed out in SoCal. No idea on how long the Sport Attacks will last.. don't care really.. but they are the best tires I've ever used in the twisties. The Kid has Classic Attacks on his 1100 Spot, and after a rainy day in the Carolinas said, "These are the bestest tires I've ever had." Uhh, I'm a fan.
  12. "Get a horse.."
  13. I really have a hard time imagining a properly torqued axle nut coming loose. It's not "subject to rotation" the FAAs verbiage for more heroic measures such as safety wire or cotter pinning.
  14. Oh, boy.. a tire thread. Conti Attacks.
  15. They were only defending their way of life.. 2016-07-02_10-32-07 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  16. So.. Mine's bigger than yours isn't just a 'Merican phenomenon? :0
  17. No solvent is a good thing..
  18. South east Ohio is ok.. Hello. Earth calling. You are missing some of the best roads in the US in Wyoming. Think about Cody. Chief Joseph highway..Beartooth pass. (!!) Going to the Sun if you have time. Many places to see and roads to ride in that general area. Yellowstone park. South out of there to Jackson (tourist trap) but west out of Jackson over the pass is awesome, too. Don't miss Beartooth. Trust me.
  19. ^^^^ Orthodontia..
  20. True. As we all know, Guzzi is all about lightness..
  21. Hmm, Motomachines is the importer for HB, and they don't show that.. I'm certainly not familiar with it.
  22. That would be the way to do it, IMHO..
  23. plus 2K to remedy the single plate clutch.. getting pretty expensive.
