  1. Thanks for the pix. I've never been in the V11 rear drive. Attaboy..
  2. Beat me to it. The manual isn't saying 40/42, it's saying 40-42.
  3. Ug. I looked through my pictures, but don't have one of the pre selector in neutral. At any rate.. you are going to want to run through the gears on the pre selector before installing it. You'll figure that out. On the transmission, from memory, the two pins are an equal distance from each end, but don't count on my memory. At any rate, they'll have to line up with the slots in the pre selector when it is in neutral. Clear as mud?
  4. ^^^^ nice picture
  5. No, normally you don't need to replace the dust covers. Give them a good inspection and reuse them if they're ok. Fork oil? Now that's a can of worms. 10 wt. from one manufacturer does not equal 10 wt. from another manufacture. http://mahonkin.com/~milktree/motorcycles/fork-oil.html
  6. If you are going to be doing engine work, you need "the book." Moto Guzzi workshop manual - V11 Sport, V11 Le Mans, V11 Rosso Corsa, V11 Café Sport, V11 Ballabio ( 2003 April) [English] - supplement to the V11 Sport workshop manual
  7. That's the AeroLario.. a Lario with the Hunter drone engine converted for motorcycle use. 2017-06-09_01-07-33 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  8. I've posted this one before, but here are my two Tontis hanging out with their big sister. 2016-08-18_02-45-05 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr Yes, Tonti designed the small blocks.
  9. I must be turning into a northerner in my dotage. I used to love it when it was hot, but now.. 90 degrees and above I'm looking for the "conditioned air.." However.. 30s and raining like we've had the last few days can
  10. No no no.. Winter is the time to get it ready for next season, not put it away. Fix the little niggles. Fix the big niggles. Do a little lovin on it.. That's why the Goddess *made* Winter.
  11. Cross posted from WG. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=93073.0 For those that have wanted to see the Aero engine.. there is an add on for Firefox that shows embedded photoblockit images. So far, it opens all blocked images I've looked at. Open Firefox Click the 3 bars at the upper right Click add-ons Click see more add-ons You'll get a search box Type in Photobucket imbed fix Download the add on. Hi Chuck, I have also found an extension for Google Chrome that can do the same. There are three versions of photo bucket embed fix, I tried two of them and only one worked. The one I use and found works is called "Photobucket embed fix" and is made by kzahelg, the names of the extensions are very similar so make sure you get the right one. Or just try the different ones. -Ulrik

  12. Thanks for that, Scud. Wish I was 20 or 30 years younger.. but if wishes were fishes..
  13. Thanks. He never used it. Yet.
  14. Here's one I did for the Kid.. 002 by Charles Stottlemyer, on Flickr
  15. Different strokes for different folks.. give me a Conti Attack any day.
  16. ^^^^^ ferinstance.. http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=732&products_id=6384
  17. The hot setup on the Centauro back in the day included K&Ns. Yes, you lost a little at the top, but gained mid range. At least, that was my experience.. and it was with a bunch of other mods done at the same time.
  18. The bend looks different. There are several things about that bike that make you say.. uhh.. Frankenbike? Not that there's anything wrong with that.. especially at Halloween. The AeroLario is certainly a Frankenbike.
  19. The Kid has Classic Attacks on his Spot and loves em. I *assume* they make them in the right size for a LMIII.
  20. Yeah, I'd say crash.
  21. Certainly not a cafe sport.
  22. Brad's aware of that..it's not his first rodeo. Once in a great while you'll find a steal. I know a guy that bought a low mileage silver V11 for 2K. Of course, he'll put some money and a fair amount of time in it sorting it out, but that was a buy. Really, a Greenie for 3.5 isn't bad..
  23. Welcome from the midwest! More Greenies=a good thing.
  24. How about some pix of the transmission hoses?
