    Tires

I was really happy with Conti trail attacks on Darth Quota, so told the Kid about Contis. He put Street attacks on his Spot, as I did on the Mighty Scura last winter. We were on them on our Carolinas Mini Spine Raid in late May, and the Kid said, "These are my most favoritist tires I've ever ran." Sticky, good in the wet, and wear well. I agree, and recommend them to your attention.
  2. Glad Y'all like it. Thank Lucky Phil.. I'm just the drone that made em..
  3. ^^^^ I did a tutorial on putting a Caswell liner in Rosie's tank on WG, but Photoblockit has the pix. If anyone wants, I could restore it.
  4. Looks like you're going back together, Docc.. everything working?
  5. ^^^^Yep yep yep. BTDT. I'd do them again. And again.
  6. Any good automotive paint shop will have a computer that will match the color pretty closely. Then.. you need a women's eye to get it perfect. If it weren't for women, we wouldn't have colors like mauve..
  7. ^^^^^^ Nice.. I've never seen the special tool fluid. I'll send that picture to the Kid and see if they have some in Wisconsin. They are big on fluids there..
  8. See you in Wisconsin this weekend? The best rally in the country.. Free micro brews, too. Cheese.. lots of cheese.
  9. Thanks for that. I had to learn the hard way about communications protocols with my cnc mill and computer back in the DOS days. One little thing wrong, and they won't talk to each other.. I probably wouldn't have thought to look with GuzziDiag, it's the 21st century, for heavinsake. A couple of dead ECUs would have had me upset..
  10. I've been a fan of Hot Tuna for.. uh.. it seems forever. Saw them live at the Vogue, a small venue in Indy *many* years ago. There was a coked up guy behind us that I had to tell to STFU. (!) I went down in front and watched Jorma play. It was awesome.

    GT MOTORS

trust me, I saw that one..
  12. FWIW, aircraft nuts are "nyloc." There is also a "high temp" lock nut that is used firewall forward and on brakes, etc. I would say that a high temp nut would be better in this application, but not knowing how hot the transmission gets, that would only be throwing a dart.
  13. Nyloc=same same.
  14. I thought the pawl spring issue was due to any incorrect boss or something? They break even with the correctly sized boss.
  15. You have a whole drawer full of copper hammers, and you're using a steel hammer??
  16. I've been using that for about.. uhh.. 50 years.
  17. I told Dorcia how much I missed the grand kids, and I really *needed* to go see them in October..
  18. I know a kid that just bought a silver V11. He'll take it. He just lunched some bearing shells.
  19. Yea..
  20. I wouldn't kick it out of bed for being red.
  21. The Mobil 1 V twin ^^^^^^is rated SG . Actually, Valvoline dino motorcycle oil is SG, too. I run it in the Monza. I get Motul 10-60 on Amazon for the Mighty Scura and AeroLario for around 11 a liter. That said, my gut feeling is that the Mobil 1 15-50 is probably ok, but I'll stick with an SG rated oil. It's cheap compared to bourbon.
  22. Both surfaces might be a little overkill..

^^^^^ yeah, there are some organic shapes to the LeMans for sure.
  24. Joe and I tried the usual tricks, and ended up welding and jacking those suckers out of there. good luck!
  25. Only the carb sport is a "spot."
