Sad sight this morning.

Fog. Bah ! -
Off to the Aprilia dealer for a look ! Thanks

Keep the V11 and sell me the 1000s. That's what I would do.

crossed wires. I think the proposal was to move the clutch to the right hand bar. Leaving the cluch on the left wont work for me. Cheers G

Good idea but I think the position of the front brake is probably too ingrained in my brain after all these years. I think there would be a danger of grabbing a handful of 'clutch' trying to scrub off speed before a corner and ending up in a hedge Thanks for the thought.

Please explain your ailment and we can take that into consideration whe giving you advice............ I have arthritis Do you know anything about treating arthritis with honey bee stings? No but I will research it. Just had a steriod injection in my wrist joint and bee stings must be a less painful option! Cheers

Maybe a foot clutch and electronic shifter would work? Lots of advice/ideas here Thanks for the leads. I will follow them up and let you know how I get on. Cheers.

My clutch hand is officially 'knackered' (My consultant used longer words). Repeatedly pulling the clutch in now causes me lots of pain and apparently it will not get better any time soon, if ever. I do have a good thumb though ! Has anybody out there made a mod to their controls that provides a way of engaging the clutch in new and interesting ways ? I am starting to think about a 'push' lever for my thumb but would be grateful to hear other suggestions. I am not ready for a 'twist and go' moped! Cheers G

Quite chilly! It bloomin' well lashed down! Sounded like 20,000 horsemen of the apocalypse riding over the roof. Black as sin. We had some snow in parts today. Tomorrow: "South and East getting away with some sunshine.." her words (just as I was thinking, the Southerners seem to be getting away... "a lot of dry and sunny weather across Kent" he says. "Across north and west the showers keep going relentlessly", he says. Oh really? No, surely the raging cloud can't again/still/currently/today/again/as usual be over [certain northerly areas] leaving [certain southerly areas] lovely and clear for the lovely sunshine to beam through in a lovely soft way. Quelle surprise! Got as far north as Madchester today. Lovely sunshine, bit nippy when the sun went down. Are you a rain God ? -

You make sure your whippet doesn't get sunstroke. The sun here is stronger than you might think. -

Not true, we had some mild drizzle for ten minutes last Wednesday. I nearly had to wipe my visor. Sorry, after a great day riding in the sunshine it is hard to think that the weather is crap a few hundred miles away. PS. Where did you get that picture of my sister ?? -

What do you ride that for?

That is one beautiful bike. Well done. If you never went out in the rain in Glasgow, would you ever go out ? -

Agreed but when it is good it is very good. Last weekend was fantastic. Put a lot of miles on the clock just riding nowhere in particular; loads of fast motorway then twisties. Bike didn't miss a beat. Coffee stop spent just staring at the bike, listening to it click and pop as it cooled down. Ride home with loads of other bikers out just for the hell of it, fast take offs from the traffic lights, leaving the boy racers behind in their cars. Evening in the pub then back home to Cameron Diaz. Sorry, lied about the last bit - that would have me believe I actually was in paradise. Why can it not always be this way ? -

We have been forecast 29 degrees tomorrow. I am planning abuse of some smooth tarmac and twisty bits . Could be the last good weekend before the grey sky closes in for months on end. Starting to think about lads trip next year. Could be Belgium for beer and fast roads, then Amsterdam and all it's charms, then bol d'or, maybe. -

Its really quiet tonight as well. What are you all up to ? In the UK we are having odd weather. Rode to work in the fog this morning and nearly froze to death. Rode home in 27 degrees of sunshine and sweated my nuts off. October tommorrow. What's going on ? -
The old girl went in for an MOT today (that is the UK required annual safety and road-worthiness certification). I was pacing around just like before the birth of my first child. I nearly took up smoking again. She passed with no 'advisories'. I couldn't have been happier and nearly bought everyone a cigar. Am I getting in too deep ??

Blimey, if you revved this at a standstill it would spit you off.

Good tip on this forum is to ride a V11 like it is a 2 stroke. Mine gets hot and bothered filtering through traffic and riding slowly. It is happiest stretching it's legs on the open road (which it can do all day). It certainly has bags of character, some of which it needs extensive therapy for.
