  1. Back up for sale as I've decided to get down to just the Stelvio. So with Guzzitech help (GTrX reflash and PC III map) the fueling is now sorted. I have also since changed the stock headlight out for a Truck Lite LED unit. Much better! I still have the stocker, too. Original listing... I'm the second owner of this great bike. It's no garage queen but is in very good condition. You can find some scratches and the luggage is really scratched up from the first owner - just cosmetic. 20K miles. Mods from stock: Clipons replaced by handlebar Hi-comp pistons PC III USB Smoked windscreen Motobits pegs and foot controls Hepco Becker luggage system Fast by Ferraci crossover and exhaust (choose an exhaust) Mistral reverse cone exhaust with DB killer ( choose an exhaust) All work was done by Moto International in Seattle. I was given all the stock pieces so the bike could be returned back to stock form. The only change I made was to switch to the Mistral pipes to get a DB killer. The only thing I think the bike could use is a dyno tune as when riding aggressively the motor will sometimes ping. (Now fixed!) Other than that I have owned it for a year and a couple thousand miles with no issues. Click through on this pic to get to all the pics that I have of the bike as well as a video of me starting it up.I've tried to capture all the faults I know of. Asking $7,500 PM me here with any questions. Bike is in Seattle area.

  2. Be sure to check out this other thread too http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16979&view=findpost&p=181724&hl=%2Bspeedo+%2Bsensor about converting the speedo to electric.
  3. I was able to get mine to work again after this problem surfaced by opening up the speedo and greasing the plastic gears. It must make them sticky enough to work. I had read about it somewhere else on this site. I don't know how much time I have bought myself

  5. Wow. I think it's more than skill required.
  6. Are you running PREMIUM fuel ? If not, use it. I don't care how much it costs, use it ! Use fuel with the least alchohol content and do not use convenience store fuel either. Name brand only ! Always have, always will. I may even try an octane booster to see if that helps. But I'm pretty sure its just too lean there. I know it s too rich down low. The map on this PCIII appears to be the default for a 2001 Sport but without at least the hi-comp pistons.
  7. that seems like it might be hard.. I take off the alternator cover and turn motor w/a (32?)mm socket. CCW when looked at from front. Yeah, I started in thinking I would do that but the exhaust crossover on mine is in the way and I had read where someone had used the screwdriver method on all their Guzzis, new and old. It wasn't hard at all.
  8. Thanks guys!! I went back and when I had the -S- in sight but the push rods were not loose I got out a screwdriver and rotated the flywheel (?) using it until I saw the -S- again. Then things were right - cylinder up, pushrods loose. And boy were things loose Anyways all is good now. After setting tings and manually rotating the rear wheel for a long time checking that the pushrods never actually lost contact with the rocker arms (as they were doing!) I was convinced that I had it right this time. Buttoned it back up and she runs just fine. Sweet. I wanted to get this set right before looking at getting a dyno tune as the bike still pings at > 1/2 throttle roll-ons over 4K RPM. The map the PO put in isn't right for this machine and I can't find any that match my specs - hi-comp pistons, FBF airbox & cross over, Mistral reverse cones. Thanks again!
  9. I have owned my '03 Lemans RC for a couple thousand miles now. Nearing 20K I decided to check the valves. Following directions here I believe I am doing the procedure correctly. I can see the piston top through the spark plug hole confirming TDC but I can't 'spin' the pushrods. Also things seem way too tight. I could set the intake to .006 on the right side but I can't even get my smallest feeler into the exhaust side fully with the adjuster backed out. The other side is similarly tight. The bike has been parked for days so I know it's cold. Does it sound like I am doing something obviously wrong? Thanks, Mark
  10. I just installed a set on my 2003 Lemans RC. I replaced some older FbF carbon cans as I wanted a db killer to stop setting off every car alarm in the parking structure at work. Well the alarms are no longer going off and with the DB killers in the sound is still louder than stock. They sound great. I haven't noticed any whistling. The pipes do not interfere with the HB bags on my bike.
  11. Awesome morning read! Not while eating however...
  12. Nah, plastic was totally gone. I have to order a different one or live without as I may have to replace it anyways as it only registered about a 1/10 th of a mile per milenridden last time out.
  13. Yeah that's where I got the wrong one. I have to go back and get the other one now
  14. I got a 02 Le Mans and I just take off the instrumentation few weeks ago to replace a bulb and I did not recall removing any set screw. The knob will just spin off if you turn it in one direction (can't remember which way, sorry) but I think you just keep turning and when its tight it just keep turning the number dials so you know its set. My instrument is the white face Veglia's, the black face version might be different? Mine ended up being the same but someone had put some type of locking compound on it. While I had the speedo open to check the gears I was able to pull it off. Too bad the knob sold to me doesn't fit.
  15. I found this Auto Meter mechanical gauge. It's the right size at 3 1/8" Does anyone know if the existing speedo cable will work? The square drive is .104" which I believe is correct. Is the cable input 5/8” x 18” thread? Then the final question would be what is the drive ratio coming off the transmission? This one needs a 1:1 ratio.
