  2. I am the second owner, first owner had it for 1200KM it came that way, I kind of like them so I have no intention of putting them them back in black
  3. A true Guzzisti picture 2 she seems to be looking down her nose as if disgusted with the poor old Multi, am I the only one that loves the Multi? Great helper and a real sweetheart but she also likes to dip her rags in mud puddles keeps gramps on his feet
  4. . Rosso's and Neros are scarce. Trust me. Pristine ones are almost non existant. There is at least one hiding in small town British Columbia with less than 10,000kilometers
  5. Hey devildog........ sounds like I am in your shoes only a little later down the road......... great pics by the way I have been snooping around for a prestine low milage Rosso fo a while now...... no luck so far. If per chance you find your self cruising in the Vancouver area.... let me know...... and of course let me know if you hear of a Rosso that may be coaxed from its present owner I get down around the coast most years,I love heading down US HWY 20 them popping back up to catch Hwy 8 and 6 back to the kootenays, generally hang around the West Kootenays most of the season or you can always find me here www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topic,70095.0.html we have a few MG's show up every year, another enthusiasts would be great.
  6. David I have the Ti pipes and race ECU and like it fine here are a couple vids with sound, sorry I can't offer a technical comparison the bike was set up this way when I got it Edit to add: beautiful bike David I really like that colour and yes you will like the Ohlins
  7. By the time you do it again you will have forgotten how well the secret for me was to have it on a work stand. When it was sitting on the wheels, the u joint closed up just enough to keep the nozzle from going in. Definitely I don't believe you could do it without having it on the stand, well I couldn't Forget, forget what?
  8. I just did my front u-joint for the first time, boy that was a ball of fun I ended up using a flexible hose and ground down the fitting on the end of the grease gun, I screwed around for hours but then just like you said, "snick" and it was on, you know I didn't think the sound of the grease forcing air and moisture out could sound so sweet
  9. That's one of the nicest model V11's made, not biased at all that's a perfectly objective statement
  10. When I first came on here and used the search it seemed to give me 200 unrelated posts. Finally realized you needed to use relevance on the search.. sure I could have done that but, hey none of us would have got to see that great video I tried fuel line disconnect (shrugs shoulders) Anyway once I was confident in what I was doing after seeing the video both conections came off easy peezy no drama, no gas spray, no broken spigots, Thanks guys
  11. Wow thanks guys, great responses, nice video, Skeeve I did try the search function, HONEST, but after a certain age my puter skills just are not what they used top be I can't run the bike to relieve presure I store it in my basement, I have the tank empty but I will rap everything in rags before I undo the fitting probably should let the fireplace go out first also
  12. Yup I already did a search but there is way to much to filter through. I am good enough mechanic to know when not to use my usual method of brute force to accomplish a task on the Guzzi, So how the heck do you disconnect the fuel line from the tank, I mean without breaking it , I can already do that on my own
  13. My aren't you a bundle of joy Any way I don't know where to get the emblems but I sent you some hi def pictures from my bike, which I love and really has not cost me anymore than any of my other bikes enjoy your new bike 68C
  14. PM me you email and exactly what you want and I can go snap a couple for your
  15. I think it's time this thread moves up the list a little bit. I just purchased this 03 it has all of 2500 km on it, I have never owned a bike that pulls on my heartstrings like this one. Cherry Blossom (groan) as my wife calls it, the name will probably stick now (groan groan) will now reside along side it's Austrian cousin a KTM 990 Adventure in British Columbia Canada and hopefully will have 10 times that many miles on her in the next year or so. Anyone know how many of these bikes were made I looked for one for a few years before I found this one Apologies for having it in the truck but I just picked it up on the weekend and have had no time to get it plated.
  16. You are correct on the right footpeg, as far as how I like them there, I just picked the bike up on Sat and haven't had anytime to get it plated,so I haven't rode anywhere yet. They feel very usable and comfortable I am 6' and bit so the extra room at the pegs and the higher clipons make it feel as comfortable if not more than my 1050 Sprint was. For the 2 feet I rode on the bike there seems to be no problem on the brake or shift lever placement, time will tell though David
  17. Hey Orson I made it over here thanks for pointing me in the right direction. fooking Guzzi I haven't slept properly since Monday night when I made a deal on this 2003 with 2500km. I have had a picture of a LeMans on the shop wall for a few years now, Saturday if all goes well I pick it up. I will apologize now because I will probably be a pain in the butt, I do most of my own maintenance mainly because there isn't a dealer within 300 miles so I will be asking LOTS of questions. Hopefully it wont take to long to start contributing back to the collective. I have owned several motorcycles over the years (how many years doesn't matter does it?)Currently have only my 990 Adventure in the stable. But have owned FJ's back in the day, V-strom, 1050 Sprint ST, KLR and .....a bunch not so notables. Can't wait to register her in the proper thread. I plan on riding the hell out of it here in British Columbia, Canada Any way been lurking around for a bit now lots of info here. Don't expect me to post again until I am one of the paesano ride well David
